I can only find the MPs parliament address or PO box listed publicly so I was thinking flowers addressed to the mp and his wife to his parliament office, does that sound ok?

I would send to constituency office, not sure how pleased security would be with flowers to parliamentary office. You should be able to find this address online.

I hadn't even thought of security! Thanks.

I wouldn't.

Send them a letter instead.

Make a donation to charity in his name and tell them . He probably wouldn't be allowed to keep a gift if received in an official capacity

MPs can accept gifts although do have to declare them if over a certain value (£500?) so flowers would be fine.2.

The problem would be where to send it. Most would be at their constituency office at some point on a Friday, or would be at an advertised surgery on a Friday or Saturday. Sending to their parliamentary office is a bit more problematic - the MPs' offices I've been in are tiny - and they are not in them very often. Also, if flowers arrive on a Thursday, the MP might be going back to their constituency and not returning until the following Tuesday..

Great idea from Hi5 - you could email the MP (or secretary/researcher if you know who they are) and ask for their preferred charity.

Yet to met an MP who doesn't love good publicity so if one has done something special a letter to the local newspaper or tweet/facebook page post would be welcomed.

Send them a BudgetDeficit-For-Idjuts book, as having just listened to the comments by MP's on the Victoria Derbyshire Show on the subject - before turning over as could take no more - it was clear that many of the MPs who make our policies/laws, are fecking clueless.

In fact, I would suggest that a new law is passed to ENSURE our new MPs are instructed on the basics of how National Debt increases (or gets reduced) before they are allowed to take their parliamentary seats.

Send some nice chocs and ask the MP to share with his staff, who do all the hard work!

If he is Conservative then a duck house would go down well.

Or if one of the Labour MPs imprisoned for expenses while protesting the ex trade union Speaker of the House Mick Martin encouraged it (for which he got some fancy title for his services to expenses once forced to step down), send a BIG nail file.
