And why? I'm really stuck on who to vote for

Angela Eagle.
she's a prolific trade unionist and dedicated to engaging young people in politics through secondary education.
she understands the need to appeal to working class voters in the south at grass roots level.
she does not oppose Corbyn.

Thanks for the reply. I she sounds like a good option. Do you know much about Stella Creasy?

Ben Bradshaw and Caroline Flint. Probably Caroline F first because I want a woman, she had a tough background growing up and has the backing of Usdaw which represents a lot of shop workers on the minimum wage. Ben Bradshaw because Alan Johnson recommended him - with Yvette Cooper - although BB also suggested he could work with Corbyn. He also brings more diversity as a gay MP if we had to have two men in charge.

Stella Creasy was nominated by a wide range of MPs - both those who nominated Corbyn and Kendall - so she could be a bit of a unity candidate too. I've read negative things about Tom Watson as team leader though great as campaigner.

I actually like the Deputy candidates more than the leader candidates!

Ben Bradshaw as he's managed to retain the only Labour seat in the South West, and was a good Environment Minister. Angela Eagle and Caroline Flint - good, tough, no-nonsense women (which Labour needs) interested in issues such as working poverty. Tom Watson - excellent campaigner and brave on phone hacking. Stella Creasy - brilliant on pay day loan firms, but possibly a little young for the Deputy role this time round.

So very difficult - I'm probably leading towards Bradshaw, Eagle, Watson, Flint and Creasy in that order, but I'd be happy with any of them as Deputy.

I am leaning towards creasy. I think her age is an advantage in reaching out to a younger demographic. Also I don't equate being older with meaning greater success in the job. I liked her campaigning on pay day loans.
I agree with a previous poster, the quality of the deputy leadership contenders is high.

I voted Angela Eagle for the reasons given by Lemonade.

NoTechnologicalBreakdown · 19/08/2015 14:10

I'm voting Corbyn as leader so I was looking for a partner for him. I'm thinking Angela Eagle, for all the reasons above plus she's female - gender is an issue in our society - aware of equality issues, and seems a hard-headed v intelligent pragmatist as well.

Is it me or do the deputy candidates all come across a damn sight better than the leader candidates (bar Corbyn)? All seem like actual people.

NoTechnologicalBreakdown · 19/08/2015 14:12

Just seen yours, BreakWindandFire, so it's not just me! Too much polish and not enough substance on the leaders.

Btw I found this quite nice website which makes it easy to look up voting records of MPs if you want to check. It works by postcode, but it's easy enough to google a postcode to shove in it once you know their constituency.
