Ted Cruz for President? Is the GOP now lost to any resemblance of sanity? Why is 'progressive' a dirty word? How can the land of the free and the home of the brave have 1 in 5 of it's citizens on food stamps? Why do people watch Fox News? Is Glen Beck for real or just a big hoaxer ( or a chalk fetishist). BHO is an African Muslim? Why would anyone take Sarah Palin seriously? Are the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves? Thoughts please, if anyone is interested.

but both Sky and Fox are less politically correct and less politically controlled by the elite

Oh dear.

I'm puzzled by a few things, Claig. 'Everybody knows'? You know they do not , so why assert it? Do you believe BBC viewers are less astute then Fox or Sky ones (and these aren't discrete groups.

There are no absolutes in these matters, neither, I believe, 'real truth'. Even scientists acknowledge that the certainties of today will not all prevail. I do not 'know' anything, I only believe to know and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone.

' Everybody knows'? You know they do not , so why assert it?'

Good point. I was exaggerating. I should have said some people know.

'Do you believe BBC viewers are less astute then Fox or Sky ones (and these aren't discrete groups.'

I don't think they are more astute, just more interested in the truth. No they are not discrete, they watch both, as I do myself, however, i believe that some choose to watch one more than the other.

'There are no absolutes in these matters, neither, I believe, 'real truth'.'

I think there is a real truth. I think there is absolute truth. Either catstrophic climate change nd the 'tipping point' is real or it isn't.

"Even scientists acknowledge that the certainties of today will not all prevail."
Exactly, which is why I believe that what is called 'climate science' will be debunked and its political roots will eventually be exposed.

"I do not 'know' anything, I only believe to know and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone."
I know that Gordon Brown was exaggerating when he said 2we have only 50 days left to save the planet' and I am sure I am not alone. In fact I heard someone say we had 51 days.

addenuf · 21/10/2013 17:51

But we do not know GB was wrong. He didn't mean end of the world on day 51, did he? I certainly don't know how much human activity affects our climate, but my first thought is not not 'big conspiracy' ( and one of my favorite films is 'The Parallax View').

By the way, I'm not trying to prove you wrong. I have no idea where truth lies, or if it exists.
Apologies for delay in response, I was famished.

claig · 21/10/2013 17:58

"But we do not know GB was wrong"

True. There is always a chance that Gordon was right. But he also said that he had "ended boom and bust" and that turned out to be spectacularly wrong.

"but my first thought is not not 'big conspiracy'"
Yes, that is most people's first thought, but on second thoughts many change their minds.

' I have no idea where truth lies'
addenuf, look into it. It really is a fascinating subject. It is too big to go into here, but it affects all our futures and is at the core of their scam. BBCI is nothing compared to the global warming scam. One day the book will be written on it and the movies will be made on it, but until then we will be shown pictures of the polar bear.

addenuf · 21/10/2013 18:06

Damn, Pakula is dead, it would have been a great subject for him. I'll be with the bears in Churchill soon, I'll give them you regards. Non-MN life calls, so until the next time.

claig · 21/10/2013 18:10

There'll be other great directors to come that will make the movies that expose the scams. Say hi to the polar bears from me Smile

See you next time.
