All hail George Galloway and his incredible by election victory. Excellent to see him back in parliament.

I feel a little sorry for the people of Bradford who think he's going to improve their schools and bring jobs to the area. He's using them to get back into the media spotlight and pursue his own agenda. As for the Respect representative on the Today Prog this morning that said her party supported 'resistance' against our troops in Afghanistan. Vile.

glasnost · 30/03/2012 10:56

I feel a little sorry for the people of GB who thought the interchangeable, indistinguishable mainstream political parties were going to improve their schools and bring jobs to the area. They were using them to get back in the media spotlight and pursue their own agenda. As for our troops occupying Afghanistan. Vile.

George Galloways politics are vile.

George Galloway victory; the Truth

;)

glasnost · 30/03/2012 14:47

Isn't it bizarre the BBC hasn't deigned to give the man himself ANY airtime despite this epoch making victory and has completely misrepresented him and his politics? If he's been banned surely we should be told? This is proof if any other were needed that the mainstream ConDem Nu Labour cabal are in it together in keeping the people both misinformed and disinformed. (Oh, they and the corporate interests they represent control the beeb btw).

See chipstick's informed opinion.

I prefer DIS one ttosca. What's not to like? I agree particularly with him re. Blair being a traitor to Labour. Only mistake Gorgeous George made was not getting out of Labour earlier.

He was interviewed on BBC Radio 2 today.

glasnost · 30/03/2012 15:10

Oh. That's alright then. BBC Radio 2. Not BBC1, natch.

CervixWithASmile · 30/03/2012 15:12

Whatever

CogitoErgoSometimes · 30/03/2012 16:03

I was listening to him on Radio 4 at 1pm... had to switch it off.

andisa · 30/03/2012 17:36

Do we really want candidates who are all chummy with dictators for their own agenda of fame to be taking part in leading the country? Are we sure George Galloway is genuine? Methinks he is just part of the celeb culture who is also politically contrary to popular opinion for his own ends.

Why did he go on Big brother?

Saw him on BBC news by the way.

Bit concerned - didn't like Iraq war but didn't want to be friend with Saddam either - he's not got his feet on the ground.

LittleAlbert · 30/03/2012 17:39

He's just going to showboat for a bit. You have to
Hand it to him, he's the comeback kid.

LittleAlbert · 30/03/2012 17:42

What did he do for his Eat London constituents, I wonder..,

< ponders for two seconds>

rabbitstew · 31/03/2012 11:18

Well, he must have failed them, because nobody has eaten London, yet. Did he even get them to the point of indigestion, or did they just nibble at the edges?

Orwellian · 31/03/2012 11:22

I would rather stick pins in my eyes than heil hail Galloway.

ohdobuckup · 31/03/2012 15:37

He is undoubtedly an intelligent and witty man, very seductive, but the complete give-away was his Saddam moment. There you saw the real George, totally enthralled and excited by the proximity of absolute power and adulation , with all the fear and terror that went with it.He had a complete hard-on for Saddam and all he stood for...a lick-spittle poodle for those with blood on their hands.

A fundamentally weak man desperate for attention and power, using the oppressed to ride home on..can easily picture him at Stalin or Hitler's right hand, let alone any of the current tyrants and dictators he fawns on.

wannaBe · 31/03/2012 15:44

he is repulsive.

pinkteddy · 31/03/2012 16:07

I do feel sorry for the people of Bradford who have been taken in by him. He is very clever and I agree with a lot of what he says about Iraq and Blair but he merely wants a platform to get back into the media again. I doubt very much whether he'll achieve anything for Bradford at all.

DaisySteiner · 31/03/2012 16:09

I find it difficult to feel sorry for anybody who votes for George Galloway, tbh.

glasnost · 31/03/2012 19:44

"He is undoubtedly an intelligent and witty man, very seductive, but the complete give-away was his Saddam moment. There you saw the real George"

ohdobuckup you ARE talking about George Bush Snr who routinely visited Saddam back in the day when he was a stooge to the US and did their bidding to flog him weapons and generally schmooze him? No doubt.

OP posts:
ohdobuckup · 31/03/2012 21:04

oh glasnost, no worries about the hideousness of George W, St. Tony or any other you care to mention, just a whisper to point out Galloways unabashed hypocrisy and freeloading on the suffering of others...oh he's there with all the other politicos, just amusing (and worse) to see his naked greed coupled with his heroic grandstanding. You're welcome to him.

glasnost · 31/03/2012 21:30

oh ohdobuckup his unabashed hypocrisy would be remarking on the "indefatigability" of Saddam under sanctions, bombardments, invasion etc after having been double crossed by the usual Western suspects? And freeloading? How so? You're welcome to your pat, trite, unsubstantiated world view.

jkklpu · 31/03/2012 21:35

Not sure how it's good for Parliament that an MP with one of the lowest appearance/participation rates has been re-elected to Westminster: what good will that do his constituents?

CommunistMoon · 31/03/2012 22:54

Anyone that makes Cogito turn off her radio is probably doing something right Smile

I am a Labour Party member and I am getting my coat right now

ButterNoParsnips · 01/04/2012 01:59

Whatever anyone thinks of Galloway, the bottom line is that people feel that the mainstream political parties don't represent them. They all play at politics and court those with power and money but have absolutely no understanding of those just trying to live.
