The privatised NHS

Every so often we hear of someone who is refused life saving/extending drugs or treatment because NICE or someone decides it is to expensive.

I suspect when the NHS is privatised this will become far more prevelant because the most important thing in deciding to refuse treatment and/or drugs will not be clinical need but how it will affect the controlling companies bottom line and it's excutives bonuses.

You need a hip operation ? sorry mate weve spent our budget for this year, come back next year that is if you can still walk.

dont be poor, dont be old, dont be ill

Unless your rich of course and can go private then please come in.

Cameron/Clegg/Osbourne, you really are filth Angry

Why are people earning millions "scum"? Do we not believe in rewarding effort/hard work/luck? Is it it not a tad unfair to generalise? A bit like calling everyone on benefits "lazy"? Or is one-way prejudice ok?

I'm not sure I believe in rewarding luck?!... Isn't luck enough already? As for effort and hard work, I believe they should be rewarded, but they aren't always very well rewarded, even when they achieve the results intended from all the hard work and these results are extremely beneficial to society.

Yes, though, it is unfair to generalise at either end of the spectrum (although I find it hard to believe anyone could think they genuinely deserve to have millions, rather than feeling themselves incredibly lucky to have them. A millionaire or billionnaire certainly isn't hundreds or thousands of times more hard working and effortful than someone on a low income).

One million a year = £19230 per week divided by 300=651

So a person on one million works 651 times harder than a person on £300 per week [hmmm] or are they boardroom scum who vote themselves huge salaries and bonuses whilst inflicting pay freezes on those at the bottom "because of the current economic climate" and the company cant afford it.

Remember boardroom pay on average is running at twice or more the rate of inflation.

Still we can depend on Cameron and the rest of his reptiles to do fuck all about it.

Politics of envy, I dont think so,just the politics of decency.
