I know a lot of us are sensitive about our age, so I will ask a polite question of the REGULARS on Mumsnet.....

Are you over or under 40 years of age?

Me...well over. cheers "Gabby"

  1. Don't like it.
Ephiny · 06/01/2011 17:16

Under, I'm 29 and looking forward to being 30 :) Don't see it as a sensitive issue at all.

GrimmaTheNome, I got the demographics wrong when I joined, I think... Grin

Partyof52010 · 06/01/2011 17:21

I have no issues with being 'in' my 30's, but I liked being 'in' my 20's IYSWIM. 30 is just neither here nor there.....just...meh.

Gabbyloggon. My father always said to me "don't ask my age... I'll only lie!" I've stuck to that mantra ever since! Grin

My freind was told by a complete stranger "you've got lovely hair...for an elderly" I cracked up as he is only 50. Needless to say she did not see the funny side of it! Smile

TheFarSide · 06/01/2011 21:36

TheFarSide · 06/01/2011 21:37

Don't know if I count as a regular though

huddspur · 06/01/2011 21:43

So you are all much younger than me.

I used to talk to a female phone-in presenter who was 55 and insisted on being called a girl ...Because she said she felt young......(and she never gave her age on air.) AGE can effect employment chances. But thats another story. "Gabby"

dotnet · 09/01/2011 17:14

Ooh, I was 40 a lo-o-o-o-o-ng time ago. But it's kind of interesting, I had an idea a lot of the MNers on the politics thread might be my generation, at least! (Sucks thoughtfully on another Werther's Original.)

tallulah · 09/01/2011 17:29

GabbyLoggon · 10/01/2011 12:13

In future when someone ask "do you mix with young people,Gabby?" I will say "YES, on Mumsnet"
