DD is having quite a lively conversation with someone in her room, not sure who but since it use to be a cow shed, possibly a milk maid.

Ha, DS (16mo) has done this a few times - had a laugh and a conversation with the ceiling, apparently. I assume it's my Mum checking him out.

Young children often talk to themselves

amber32002 · 03/04/2009 07:48

or they can invent very convincing invisible friends to talk to. Wouldn't worry too much unless she gets scared...?

don't worry Dora boots and george are regulary talked to in this house ( all imaginary friends)

I have to walk my imaginary pony ( red called lighteneing) to nursery

and often get told that she is not talking to me she is talking to her 'real ' mum! ( hasn't quite worked out the difference between real and pretend yet but gets some interesting looks in the supermarket!)

My son used to speak to a 'Mr Kochka' in a deep gruff voice when he was young. It could be a little bit disconcerting but it was just a harmless phase.
'Mr Kochka' had a large appetite for biscuits, apparently.
