That was my favourite ever thread, was very it was deleted.

Mya I butt in SP, just to say I had a humanist wedding (following a lower key Registrar service in the morning).
FWIW, We wrote our own vows and chose some readings and the Humanist celebrant was marvellously dignified, so much so, that many of our more conservative friends thought it was an actual, 'legal' wedding. We were married 14 years ago in a (country pub) garden next to a stream, surrounded by Dales' scenery and it was everything we could have hoped for.

sneakerpimp - we had a Humanist wedding ceremony in Edinburgh (with piping, natch). It really really brilliant. Hope you have a wonderful day too :-)
