DH wasn't sure what to do.

5yo laughed and said "say it again" so of course she did.

DH was embarrased/annoyed & banned all Sunday treats (chocolate/ pudding etc)

What would you have done?

Laugh with the rest of the congregation (but I am free-church, so maybe more relaxed there?)

I do feel slightly when DS3 start howling in the creche (which is in the choir vestry separated from the main body of the church by a large curtain) while I'm playing the organ. These days by half way through the service he's got himself so hysterical wanting to come out and play the organ with me that someone usually ends up taking him out for a walk in his pushchair for the rest of the service.

Oh and my BF's DD4 used to stand in the middle of the aisle with her back to the congregation and flash her knickers at the church. She once did it while the bishop was walking down the aisle at the start of the confirmation service.....my BF did an amazing "sleath" move dashing diagonally across the aisle, grabbing her DD4 under he arm like a rugby ball and striaght into a chair on the opposite side - all in one clean movement which happened in a split second

I'm glad it's not just DD!

Seeker I can see why you wouldn't take a 3yo to mass, but it's either take her or not go at all.

Our priest is the loveliest man ever, and constantly reminds the congregation that Jesus loved/s children (I'm starting to get paranoid he does it for my benefit), but the congregation's average age is 72 (at a guess)and I'm concious of disturbing them.

I'll encourage DH to relax about it (but he finds having 3DC's on his own stressfull enough, poor man!)
