How to astral project

I would love to learn how to astral project. Has anyone here done it successfully and could you recommend anywhere that teaches it?

It's a knack. Once you "get it" then it's really easy but initially the harder you try the more elusive the skill becomes. Very frustrating.

My technique is based on a very deep trance state.

How do you get into that? And how long did it take you to achieve? I’d be really grateful for any tips!

There are some useful guided meditations on YouTube to help with AP.

Try setting an alarm at 3.15am and spending some time out of bed until you get very sleepy again. then lie down and repeat a phrase in your head until your body drops off, but your mind hasn't, then you will go into the hypnogogocic state and if astral projection is real this is the entry point.

It's a matter of achieving an altered state of consciousness and then pushing down deeper and deeper. This can be done by a guided meditation ( like the Youtube ones) but they rarely sync with my personal "speed". They try to rush me and when I was learning I needed to go down at a much slower pace so I found them fairly useless. An easy and repetitive and boring visualisation of those endless downward escalators in some tube stations worked for me. Some people use lifts. Maybe some white noise in the background to keep the left brain busy or use binaural beats for an alpha wave.

Look at some of the self hypnosis techniques as these can be helpful.

When you are getting close to separation you will find your hands and feet may tingle. That is normally where people stop ( and thus fail) but you need to push down a little further.

Make yourself comfortable but not too comfortable as you are likely to just fall asleep so I avoid doing it in bed as I'm just asleep in seconds. It does help to wear loose fitting clothes and take off any heavy jewellery at least whilst learning as they can way you down.
