Marvellous experience. Did anyone else get to see her relics when they came to Britain?(Scotland last year, but England previously)

Yes. The queues outside the cathedral were huge. I didn't like it. It was a ' morbid taste for bones' to quote Ellis Peters.
One of the clergy wondered aloud, how many of the crowds would be in church on Sunday. Very few I suspect. I have absolutely no devotion to her so I didn't really care about it anyway.

@jazzy what is this in relation to, OP, out of interest?

My grandmother used to have her pictures up.Smile

The clergy member who said that sounds really judgmental. Perhaps the people felt a particular affinity with the saint and therefore wanted to see the relics? With an attitude like his, it's not surprising they don't go more often!

Jazzy Im interested in why it was a marvellous experience. I only know a little about her, mainly from reading American female Catholic type blogs, they find her very inspiring.

I dont know enough about the saints and dont tend to invoke them in prayer as a rule. But I'm interested in people who do.

@Bezalelle I think he had a point. We get Jesus at mass. That should be more important than a few bones.
