My mum runs meditation classes and spiritual workshops. The charge? An occasional box of tea bags or packet of biscuits so that her supply doesn't run out

I admit to liking fantasy type books, but I do not keep them next to my grimoire .

All of my ritual (rarely used) tools such as my athame have come to me by accident or gift. If I do buy anything it is invariably an amazing bargain. I believe that things will come to you when you are ready - if you have to lay out a fortune then it isn't the stuff for you IYSWIM.

Oh and I had a robe that was a gift back in my Wiccan days. I have given it away though because I didn't see the need for it.

why do you need an athame? why not just use a bread knife?

Yup - anything that doesn't charge oodles I trust.

Are you coming to the picnic stg?

SaintGeorge · 24/06/2007 15:32

I don't need an athame, that's my point. I have one because it was a gift. I rarely use it, I use the knife that I cut my herbs with.

My athame is very nice, feels comfortable to use and more importantly came from someone I love. For those reasons alone I will sometimes use it for special occasions.

What picnic? I've missed a lot of threads recently.
