Violet yes! Beautifully put, thank you 🙏

Sokere · 02/01/2019 21:09

@YashmisCrone That's a wonderful outcome. So pleased for you!

I love those spells too. Thank you for posting them.

YashmisCrone · 02/01/2019 21:16

Thank you Sokere

It’s really good to have you back and to hear of your powerful candle magic earlier. I don’t see energy like you do and think it’s a wonderful ability you have- it was the same with the scrying..

Glad you like the spells- I’m very fond of that series of books- I find them refreshingly straightforward and positive. It was a lovely surprise to be reunited with the one missing book from my collection today!

Sokere · 03/01/2019 08:19

@YashmisCrone Thank you. I'm still at the stage of not knowing what is common/shared by us all. I have this need to check anything unusual that I notice and use that as signposts that I am indeed on the right track. I'm so grateful that my break didn't slow my progress.

I'm looking forward to reading the Hocus Pocus. I hope everyone has a good, magical day

queenrollo · 03/01/2019 09:56

Hello all.

I have had an awful few days. The negativity got right into my soul and I have cried, not got dressed or washed. I have felt real despair. Then yesterday at about 4pm it just lifted and I felt bathed in light. I barely slept last night, but had incredibly vivid dreams during the sleep I did have.
For some reason I always find the transition at New Year emotionally difficult. It feels silly because it is simply numbers changing on a calendar but I suppose all my life so much expectation has been placed on it that it is hard to shift those habits and echoes. For me there is a very real energy shift and it's a hard one.

I need to embrace the positivity now. I am alone with the children so a relaxing cleansing bath is out of the question, but I am going to have a ritual shower in a moment and put on my very decadent perfume and my favourite clothes.

I have been reading your posts and there is some amazing energy manifesting among us.

speakout · 03/01/2019 11:47

queenrollo

I am sorry that you have been feeling low, what a horrible time that must have been.

I am glad to hear that a shift has happened and you are feeling better.

Please feel free to join us even when you are feeling low, this thread has helped me so much during difficult times, we are all here to support.
Those of us with energy to share are more than happy to do so - as you have done to others.

I have been going through a slow mellow few days, taking care of myself well and deepening into the calm.

My energy isn't huge and bubbling, but turning slowly and surely, and I am fine with that right now.

I hope you have a magical day.

queenrollo what an awful time you’ve had. I’ve been thinking about you and wondering how you’ve been. I agree with speakout about coming here for support- I think our collective energy can really help at those times- I’ve certainly felt it. You’ve been a great support to me when I needed it.

I totally agree about the weight of expectation of NY. It’s huge isn’t it.

I loved reading about the lift you felt and being bathed in light yesterday. Also your plan to boost yourself with a ritual shower, decadent perfume and favourite clothes- I think you have a warrior spirit- you’ve got a lot of fight and determination.

Sending you love and positive energy x

Sokere it’s good to hear of your path- I enjoy hearing people’s different experiences as much as I do the resonance of similarity. I’m fascinated by the way you see energy and can scry- for me it tends to be just a feeling or knowing if that makes sense- I can relate to the tingling and warm sensations- I really felt that when we did our candle connection here.

My energy is calmer and quieter today- I can’t keep yesterday’s levels up! I’m going to ground myself a bit- much as I’m pleased with yesterday’s successes- I feel the need again for quiet time! speakout I love your ideas about sigils, scents, crystals etc- I’m going to work on incorporating some. I feel like I’ve made some big steps forward and would like to weave some gentler energy in to maintain and boost this.

For now, I’m going to focus on some practical tasks with maybe a little potter round the charity shops- see if there’s any treasure I’m meant to find today!

Hope everyone has a good day

YashmisCrone · 03/01/2019 17:01

I just wanted to share this- not strictly witchy but in tune with how we focus our energy/intent.

I like the way she talks about new year, resolutions etc and particularly like the idea of focusing on how we’d like to feel rather than the things we want to achieve

YashmisCrone

That's a really interesting link, thanks for posting. It makes so much sense.

I have felt a massive gear shift today, I can see that things are changing.

You know how it's easy to get into a routine, you know what's happening and when, who will be needing dinner, what will happen on an one day- I feel that's all up in the air, things will fall but I don't know where.
It feels like a huge sea change, but in a really positive way.

That sounds really exciting speakout! - almost like the energy of the fool- fabulous!

HalloumiGus · 03/01/2019 18:35

Happy New Year to you all :-) I bought the Peter Paddon book last spring but got a bit lazy with it. It's a good reminder to work with it again. Glad you are getting good result Yashimis. Do be aware that the techniques can have unpredictable results around dogs as I found out!

VioletCharlotte · 03/01/2019 18:49

Queenrollo it's good to hear from you, and so sorry you've been having such a rough time. Glad to hear it's lifted and you're feeling better.

Hope everyone else's ok. I'm off to yoga this evening, so hopefully it'll leave me calm and relaxed and ready for a good nights sleep. Hope you all have a lovely evening Smile

certainlymerry · 03/01/2019 19:26

I can't remember who it was who recommended the book on Manipulation up thread. I ordered it out of curiosity, despite being a bit put off by the title. I find the content quite disturbing. The unashamed descriptions of how to manipulate and control others is really unsettling to me. Surely ethical witchcraft should be about harming none? She does talk about ethics and mentions the importance of harming none, but almost in a tick box way. The general tone is that the rules can be bent. I don't like it at all.

I am learning about witchraft though this thread, and reading some of the recommendations. A lot of it i feel is knowledge I already had, somehow. It feels like returning to what I know and have been seeking all my life. However, I am totally against manipulation, co coercion or underhand means. I think this is why a lot of people are very scared of the idea of witchcraft.

I hope I am not offending anyone, but I would like to know what you all think about this.

Also reading the Hedge Witch book recommended on an earlier thread, and loving it. Also Marion Green?

You are all very inspirational and I love your energy.

YashmisCrone · 03/01/2019 20:19

certainlymerry to me, the book clearly states it’s a ‘skills manual’ as opposed to an approach to witchcraft including a pre-defined set of ethics and morals. I believe that these are ours to decide and commit to/ we take responsibility for own actions and accept the consequences of them. My personal belief is that no action is ‘neutral’- by our very nature as ‘pack animals’ our actions impact on others. The skills in the book (as far as I can tell- I’m not very far through it) are simply that- techniques or tools. Whether they cause harm or have a positive impact depends on our own framework of ethics and intent. That’s where we take responsibility. To me, it’s more comfortable and authentic to make decisions like this about my own actions than to subscribe to a pre- defined set of rules or someone else’s idea of right and wrong.

I wanted to respond to your question but to be honest I’m not comfortable having a discussion about it on a public forum- as you say the ‘fear’ (or criticism) of witchcraft is fairly prevalent- I personally would rather not spend my energy having to justify myself and my actions here or invite a wider, almost ‘theological’ debate which tends to be the result of discussion along these lines.

So, for that reason I’ll dip out of further discussion about this here. I’d like to play my part in keeping the energy of the thread supportive and positive. Your post is not offensive and I believe your intention to be positive enquiry but I fear further discussion could invite others along, keen to critise and ‘prove a point’ I don’t want to be part of inviting that kind of energy here.

Hope that makes sense

Its good to hear that you’re enjoying the thread, it’s a wonderful supportive place with a diverse wealth of knowledge- I get a lot from it too- it’s become an enriching part of my life. I love it that so many of us feel a sense of unearthing something that was always in us, as you describe. It’s a very special place

YashmisCrone · 03/01/2019 20:23

It’s good to see you HallumiGus 👋 and thanks for the heads up. I’ll watch out for that!

Hope you had a good yoga session Violet

speakout · 03/01/2019 21:21

An early night here. A candle lit bath with rose otto, perfect.

Up early for my yoga session, it starts at 7.15 in a village 5 miles from here, first one since before christmas, so I am looking forward to it. I am already in bed.

Yashmis thanks for your reply. I agree this is a wonderful thread with great energy. I wasn’t trying to ask anyone to justify themselves. I have great respect for you all. Just honestly felt a bit thrown and wanted to ask for guidance.
Totally respect your reasons for not wanting debate.

Moononthehill28 · 03/01/2019 21:39

Sorry for confusion with names , I have one name on my phone and another on my laptop because I can’t remember my log ins !!

YashmisCrone · 03/01/2019 22:00

speakout that sounds like bliss, Rose Otto is divine isn’t it.

Moononthehill28 sorry if my post wasn’t clear- I’m prone to rambling- I didn’t think you were asking anyone to justify themselves. Thank you for respecting my reasons, I appreciate that

certainlymerry · 03/01/2019 22:37

Not rambling at all, it was very coherent and helpful!

speakout · 04/01/2019 10:04

Good morning my magical friends.

An early morning yoga class has started the day well, it was still dark when I got home.

Just me and the kids at hoe today- mother is out at a church event.

I have decided not to start work until next week, and bring some happy organisation to my home.
I love this slow pottering pace.

I have been re reading The Caillaich by Rachel Paterson yesterday.
A slim volume, with some nice interesting poetry/ritual/imagary in the last chapter.

Good morning,

Sounds like a great way to start the day speakout.

I’ve given myself more time than usual off work this season too. I planned to do as little as possible during the first part (essential for the regeneration of ‘golden eggs’!!) - a goal I’ve successfully achieved! I’m now planning on organisation too- both in the home and practical matters as I’ve previously talked about.. I’ll need to extend my magic beyond care and wellbeing to include finances and security- that’s a big part of stage two. I’m feeling more confident after my recent success- I think it helps me maintain the momentum and flow that’s needed to move forward.

I’m loving this Cailleach energy you’ve got around you at the moment speakout. As I’ve said before, I’m not particularly ‘educated’ when it comes to witchcraft or folklore- I’m excited at learning more from everyone here now.

Speaking of which, while we eagerly await further planetary information via madcatlady this is the first part of my new ‘Moonology’ (Yasmin Borland) diary for the year- powerful stuff to start us all off!

How interesting- and good morning!!

Yes I think this new moon will bring about big transformations.

Also like you my self care has been extending to all these other things like tidying out my toiletries, handbag, spice cupboard.
I am now working on sorting out craft supplies, ordering and making things so that whan I start work properly I will be calm and organised.
That may be next week, not sure.

It's just lovely to take the time to do this deep self care and have the energy to be playful.

DS is enjoying his new job, he is working 6 short shifts next week. It is such a lovely feeling to see the skip in his step and feel the vibrancy in his voice. After such a dark times it feels like a weight lifted.

I hope yo uand everyone finds some magical sparkle today.
