Ramadan - does life go on?

I'm organising a conference including expected attendees from Dubai. They would be existing customers of our company and the event is fairly high level so 5 star hotel (in Europe) etc.

If we end up having to run this during Ramadan, does that rule out this set of attendees completely or is it on an individual basis?

It would be polite not to ostentatiously eat and drink in front of them, to provide private washing and prayer facilities, and to arrange for meals for them to be provided before dawn and after sunset. I should think that most large hospitality businesses would be accustomed to this.

It will probably be on an individual basis. I would check with the companies you are working with as some businesses, even large ones, in the UAE close during Ramadhan.

From a practising angle, some people are happy to travel, work and adapt Ramadhan timings accordingly. Other people may only do this is absolutely necessary so may be best to check with the individual.

I’d try really hard to organise it outside if Ramadan.
