Not really sure how to write this, not looking to offend annyone. I have always been interested in the pagan way of life. There is not alot of information avalible where I live, and not many people willing to come out and say I am a pagan. Every few years I really try and get into this, but end up stopping because I just don't know what to do, or who to ask for help. There is one spirtulist(sp) church but they run in the evenings and I am a single parent and have no babysitters. Can anyone here help me please. Don't want to start 2 new posts so will add this here. I read that if you dream in colour then you have physic abilities, has anyone else heard this? Think I will leave it there for now. If anyone can reccomend any books, or good websites I would be very greatful. Thanks for reading.

I was about to come back and say that the yay wasn't for the time - that's just plain rude

Never did work out who the boy was that I told to go to bed

Damn, I nearly said Simeon instead of Simon but thought I might be leading myself because of the clue he gave me in his picture.

Now Flame will want to know what the clue is (snigger)

I am doing a little happy dance by the way, I am so chuffed about this. Psychic art on the internet, even the spirits like to move with the times

Flame · 04/06/2007 16:29

Nope... don't wanna know at all... not at all...

Desiderata, I found it interesting that you said your interest ebbs and flows as I have been beating myself up (as is my wont!) because I spent lots of time and energy on this path last year but have not felt so drawn lately.

I comfort myself with the fact I am gardening and growing things, which takes up my time, but feels like a spiritual act.

This week I've been 'noticing' or 'aware' if you know what I mean, so I guess I'll have a look at sme books or take a walk tomorrow.
have a good weekend everyone.

hi, i only ever dream in colour i thought everyone did!im a pagan and i tell people when they ask,and i just try to lead as natural and planet friendly as i can, i do make and use herbal remadies, use oils alot, use a pendulum to help when im torn two ways over a problem, ive dedicated myself to helping as many people as i can through life this is paganism to me,oh yes i grow my herbs with the moon

aimeesmummy · 25/06/2007 21:15

Evenin' This is fascinating, I've been reading the Boudica series by Manda Scott (historical novels set around the facts) in which she touches quite a lot on Dreamers. Read last night (after eventually logging off from MN!) a dreaming episode where the dreamer travelled across the sea and was feeling round the hopes and fears of the invaders. Does anyone know anything about this sort of thing? Has Manda Scott completely made it up? Although her website says that she holds dreaming courses.
I'va wanted to read more on this, can anyone recommend any reading?

I dream in colour and mostly remember my dreams - they are very vivid and I have recurring dreams that have been the same since I was a child. I have used pendulums - although you need to pick one for you and ask it yes for you and no for you as it will go either horizontally, diagonally, anti-clockwise or clockwise for you specifically.

I would practise meditation first before you start exploring things as you need to learn how to protect yourself.

I have been to a medium twice and spiritualist church - used to go out with a pagan (wicca) but he was very dark. Had some strange spirit experiences too.

Paganism is a broad term so you need to read up and see what lies best with you - I tend to favour Earth Mother/Astral planes/Spiritualism/Angels. Find out what sits well with you. My guardian Angel is Gabriel.

Fostermum!!!!!!

You went poof for aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages!!!

(and now you tell me I have the name wrong and you're not who I am thinking of )

Earthymama · 04/07/2007 19:25

Aimesmummy. I love those Manda Scott books and, like you, was enthralled by the dreams. Something calls out in that description that makes me feel connected to the past.
Sorry don't know much about dreamers but i am sure others will help.

hey expat, i didnt know you were 'one', too

to lighter:

i've been on a pagan path for 8 years now. i've never heard that about dreaming in colour.
i guess the first thing would be to decide where in paganism you'd like to start. there are many branches of it! not just wicca or witchcraft. there are LOADS of great online resources, egroups, etc out there.
i'd consider myself eclectic if asked
you dont need to (imo) visit special sites to feel energies.
try researching several things and go from there and see what feels 'right' to YOU. dont worry what others are doing. your path is yours and yours alone. :D
