Ramadan and time for Iftar

Can British muslims please tell me what time fasting ceases this evening?
I am going to an evening class tonight and one of our number is muslim, and will be observing Ramadan. I was thinking of grabbing a packet of dates and perhaps some falafel on my way (we have a break for refreshements, but usually it's only biscuits). However, I don't want to
a) embarrass anyone
b) take food if it's going to be too early in the evening.

The evening class runs 7.30-9.30pm with a break after around an hour.
I'm in the South East.

Many thanks

It's 8.51pm here in Watford. HTH. And you're lovely and thoughtful you are. Although, actually that's the iftar time for tomorrow... That's when the first one is

Thanks starry - oops, yes, it starts tomorrow doesn't it! I'll contact the people who organise the evening class and see if we can have something out on the table for everyone for Iftar next week. After a long day at work and then an hour or so of evening class, it's going to be pretty hard-going otherwise.

This is such a lovely thoughtful thing for you to do.

Just as an update I took some dates and falafels along to the evening class and asked the organisers (who do tea/coffee/biscuits) if they'd put them out on the table toward the end of the session, so that anyone who wanted to have some could do so.
The snacks were very well-received, by the person intended for, and by those who also partook.

I'm going to make some chocolate coconut protein bites with the leftover dates. Grin

You utter star, you. Thank you. That was a genuinely kind thing to do

Blush Well, I just thought it would be helpful as I know the person has a long drive home afterward. I'll always try to make sure that people are comfortable - unlike some who were standing around at tea break waving biscuits at the person saying "I bet you'd like to get your teeth into this!" - although meant in fun, to me this seemed rather disrespectful. As it was, we ended up having a very interesting discussion about faith and beliefs, which hopefully opened some people's minds a bit.
