ok today i was getting dd 2 dressed when i felt that something was behind me. I have a dog that will sort of jump at a shadow and when the weather is sunny she does this often. I jumped and turned thinking she was behind me and there was nothing there. I had my back to the door and dd was facing it and she sadi 'what mummy'. Was bit weird tbh.

i quite often think someone is outside or walking through my hall.
it could just be shadows i don't like to think its anything else.
Also things go missing and turn up at a later date in the oddest of places.

LilyLoo · 02/05/2007 22:07

just me then must have been the wind, but really made me jump !

I once went to watch a medium with my sil and i swear she was trying to make me talk she kept pointing at me and im sure the seat moved. I just couldn't stand up and be counted, i bet it was my gm tring to embarrass me

when i was heavily pregnant with my dd, i was in bed alone, hubby at the pub! i had my eyes closed but felt like someone was stood in the room. opened my eyes and saw a bright blue light flicker then fade in the right hand corner of my room near ceiling. thought at first it was lightning from outside but when i looked out of window it was a clear dry night. didnt feel scared though.

i work in a hospice on nights, and often see things out of the corner of my eye, several other nurses and patients have reported seeing things.

fireflyfairy2 · 08/05/2007 11:21

We feel the presence of someone in this house. It's not a scary presence though. I have been touched on the shoulder lightly & dh has had someone touch him when in bed one night.

Also I had a friend to stay & on the Sat morning I said to her we felt we had someone in our home, she said "Oh how strange, as I passed your study last night I could have sworn there was someone standing there"

Funny thing is that I have always felt it in the study also.

I'm not afraid, in fact the last night I fell asleep in the livingroom I'm sure someone was stroking my hair

Imasurvivor, my sister is a care worker & the care home she works in is built in what used to be a very well known children's home.

The old people often ring their bell & ask the carers to tell the children at the bottom of the bed to stop talking & leave the room! sis said she always hears kids whispering when she is on duty

iamasurvivor · 08/05/2007 11:35

weird thing is, we have our own mortuary at the hospice and i can be in there on my own and not be a bit bothered, but when the lights go off on the wards i have to go round closing all the doors so that no one can jump out at me. maybe i have watched one to many horror movies. i am one of those weird people who loves to be scared to death!

I was 15 when my nana died I'm sure she visited me.

I woke up in the middle of the night thinking someone was in my room and assumed it was my mum going in to my cupboard to get out a school shirt to iron it and walked back out. we've never been the most organized family!

I checked the alarm clock for the time and it was 3.15am, I thought "that's a bit weird" and went back to sleep.

Mum came through in the morning and said we didn't have to get up for school because nana died last night. She had been in hospital but got much worse recently.

When my dad came back from the hospital I asked when she died and he said after 3. I asked him exactly when and he said about twenty past three, I told him about thinking mum was in the room and his face went white. He told me his watch is always 5 minutes fast so he's never late!

So my nana died at 3.15 when I woke and felt someone was in my room. I'm not as scared thinking about it now but it terrified me for a good few weeks!

Hi Lilyloo. I often have this feeling. I have been having this for many many years. I am spiritually aware. I sense when a spirit is presence but can not see them. I would like to develop this and i am looking in to this. I used to get the feeling that someone was right up close to me to my left shoulder, but recenly i am sensing them being in the middle of a room or in a certain part of a room. I went to see a practising medium who was very good the other day, and my awareness has increased since this. I actually saw a figure twice in my dining room yestrday,& i was not scared by this one bit. It may be your spirit guide or family member. Although it can be quite scary, try not to be put off & if this happens again, acknowledge the fact someone is there.

fransmom · 10/05/2007 23:09

iaas, there are angels working to help the sick in the hospital, nurses who have passed on (wearing their uniform still) and family members of those who are in the wards.

fff2, the man in your study is a teacher-guide and is there to help you learn from something.

kidsrus - someone is trying to get your attention and you're not listening!

DelGirl · 10/05/2007 23:15

I feel a presence around me alot and dd, i'm sure, see whoever it is. I'm sure it's dh.

Once when I worked in a nursing home, I passed the room of a lady and I saw 2 men standing talking in fron of her. They were in dark suits. I assumed it was her sons. I said to the nurse in charge that I thought it was nice that mrs x had visitors. She said that she hadn't had any. She passed away that week.

fransmom · 10/05/2007 23:19

dg she will see who it is. my dd also sees my mom (sometimes when i can't) she'll go "i see nanny!" so i say to her well go and give her a kiss then. and she did. i then saw my mom reach down to her 1st gc and hug and kiss her back [sad smile]
dg, maybe you could say to your dd go and give daddy a big kiss?

DelGirl · 10/05/2007 23:38

I will next time and see what happens. I think she's played with him in the garden not long ago which sounds very weird but she was laughung and it was as if she was being chased.

QueenofBleach · 10/05/2007 23:39

constantly but they are all nice

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 10/05/2007 23:48

when I first left home and had my old flat I had to get up every morning at 6am for work. Every morning just after the alarm went off would be the sound of the kettle being filled and by the time I got to the kitchen it was on and nearly boiling

Also, I had a great-uncle I was very close to as a child and he died when I was 12. He used to wear those 'jesus creeeper' sandals but with the buckles undone cos he had sore feet so they used to jingle. I sometimes hear them now and smell him around me and one time I found his glasses (which I had kept in a drawer in the bedroom) on the coffee table.

There are a lot of cold spots in this house and sometimes you can hear someone running up the stairs and very rarely you can also hear young male laughter

fransmom · 11/05/2007 00:08

LilyLoo · 11/05/2007 20:49

Glad someone came back to this thread. The only person i can think it could be would be my mum. It was odd as it made me jump but i wasn't scared!
