Child with a gift? Please share your experiences with me

My DD#1 seems to see things that we do not. My mother is sensitive to such things and has in the past seen ghosts though not recently. I have never seen one myself but was very aware of someone with me at one point and only afterwards found out that the particular property was believed to be haunted. So, we would not be surprised if she had a gift for such things. She is 2yr 7mth old and now and again waves and says "Hello" to "nothing" especially in my parents house. We are not aware their house is haunted, but we do believe my grandparents are with us at various times and perhaps it is them that she sees. It is hard to ask her what she sees and I do not want to put ideas into her head, I want to hear it from her.

Have you had a child that has done this, how did you talk to them about it and did you encourage the gift - how did you if so? I'm not upset with her if she does see ghosts, in fact it would be sad if she lost the ability if indeed she has such an ability as I suspect.

So far her younger sister does not appear to show any such traits, but she is still very young and time will tell.

Thanks

maybe say thanks instead?

Oh I did that no problem!

DD#1 was busy with "someone" at breakfast this morning. She was picking up something out of the air and handing it to "nobody" in the seat next to her. She had grommets put in her ears yesterday and her adenoids taken out. I think her guardian angel(s) would be very close at the moment for her.

Great thread.

My dd4 has often read my thoughts, and when hse was a baby, I soemtimes didnt dare think about her to hard inthe middle of the night as she would wake up crying that instant!

Last yr she saw an old rusty car in town ans said, 'that's like the one you and daddy had in the hot place' I was intigued, as daddy isnt living with us since she was 2, and I wondered what on earth she could mean.

Then I said, what hot place? 'you know with the man drving who had dark skin'

all my hairs stood on end, and I immediately 'knew' she meant, yrs earlier dh and i had gone to the Gambia, and we had hired a guy to drive us round, us and two other couples to see some sights. His car was old and rusty and precariously held together.

This was in 1999, and dd wqasnt born till 2002, but we had started trying for a baby at the time of that holiday.

I mentioned it to ex dh, and he immediately knew what she meant too, it was as clear as anything.

i love this kind of thing

That is amazing she could tell you about the car. I find this all so fascinating. Does she hear/see or talk to spirits at all?

I am not sure, i think i may have thought she could sense/hear spirit when she was younger, but I think she is more like me, in being intuitive, sensitive and able to feel 'moments' in time.

I find it hard to describe, I really do think i can sense deeply, but dont know the terminology for it. I think she is gifted in a psychic sense, a 'knowing' and I encourage her to believe in herslef, and her senses, which wasnt done when i was little.
