March of witness for Good Friday

Our local churches hold a March of Witness on Good Friday, but it is more of an embarrassing shuffle really. No one seems to take much notice of it.
Does anyone else go on one, and what form does it take?
We can't decide whether to support the local one, which we usually do, or go to the larger one in the town where we go to church.

We're off to ours in our village this morning. Know what you mean about embarrassing shuffle - which does defeat the object somewhat! We end ours with a short service and free tea and coffee with hot cross buns. Hope yours goes well.

Yes, we join in ours. There is a service first then we follow the cross. We stop at key points for an open air reading. We give out hot x buns to passers by.

We don't do it.
Have you read Habitudes? It talks about being a guest and a host. When out in the street I am a guest, the same as everyone else there. If I was hosting something in the community then I would be more overtly Christian then I would be as a guest.
My feeling is always a bit of a "what are we trying to achieve by shuffling through the town carrying a cross". If it's to tell people about our faith then it needs to be that.
Last year we did a community passion play, organised by someone in the parish (but not in the church) who wanted to do it and sought our help. This year we had some events for family in the church, and gave out some eggs with a card attached saying why Easter mattered to us individually in the street saying "we're christians and easter is important to us. We want to share this with you."
