Starting new thread so that the other thread doesn't run out before Bes can start a new one with her introduction.

bes I hope the headache cleared.

saa you remain in my prayers.

I am very tired today, so only a short post I am afraid. I am praying for those on this thread and beyond who need it.

sadandanxious · 10/03/2017 15:33

I hope your headache has gone Bes

Thank you Oma and Cocoa. Hope you get some rest Cocoa

Today has been positive. Slow work day but positive in other ways. I can't share at the moment about this particular issue but I pray that things continue to move forwards positively. Last night I started my mindfulness course. Lots of things the course facilitator said resonated with me and also with the rest of the group. Whilst I am sad others also feel this way, it's reassuring to know I'm not alone.

I am looking forward to having a restful day off tomorrow and then hopefully going for a walk on Sunday Smile

Love and prayers to all Flowers

saa glad course is good. That's something I'd like to do. Had bloods back today. I've got low vitamin d/ normal range is 50-120 ( doc didn't say units) - mine is 15. Getting presc tomorrow. But hopefully will help with anxiety and energy once getting better.

Praying for all xx

Lissette · 11/03/2017 07:30

sad I'm so glad you had a good day at work and enjoyed the mindfulness course.

That's a low Vit D amount alright Orchid. It helps convert tryptophan from food into serotonin ( which is a happy hormone) and is therefore important for your mood. I don't know if you ached a lot but that can also be a symptom of vit d deficiency. I don't know my scores for vit d but I've upped my serotonin foods (bananas, turkey, nuts) and I'm taking a vit d supplement and I do feel better. Where I live we get little daylight in winter and I don't like the sun ( I'm pale).

Porridge - oats boost serotonin and I do believe dark chocolate too Grin

Thank you for the prayer orchid and I'm glad the party went well. Ds's party is next month and they can be nerve wrecking.

CocoaLeaves · 11/03/2017 18:27

Thank you saa i pray that there are more positive steps for you and the feeling of not being alone is a consolation.

Orchid wow, that is a low vit D count - I think you will notice a difference with the supplements. I take them, plus iron plus others. I am glad the party went well.

Prayers for all Flowers

CocoaLeaves · 11/03/2017 18:44

Thank you also for the prayer Orchid -Amen to that.

Lissette · 11/03/2017 18:57

I wasn't joking about the dark chocolate by the way - it is a good serotonin food. Unfortunately milk chocolate fudge sundaes don't work in the same way...

Joe and his mum are on their way to London where he will have three weeks of chemo therapy and then he will have his 'magic cells' back. I am not quite sure what it means, but pray that it will work the way it should. He is such a gorgeous little boy.

Orchidflower1 · 12/03/2017 19:13

Praying for successful treatment for Joe.

Lissette · 12/03/2017 21:30

Fervent prayers for Joe and his family.

I am adding prayers for Joe and his family

I am also praying for all who need it on this thread. I am still very tired; it is taking all my energy to keep doing what I need to do. But I am still reading and praying

I would also like to thank God for the beauty in my life and my dear DC. I would like to pray that He stays with me and I have peace in my heart. I feel the clench of fear at what will come; I pray for wisdom and the ability to cope Flowers

barefootcook · 13/03/2017 08:02

I am praying for Joe and all the Trazzles.

sadandanxious · 13/03/2017 16:37

Prayers for Joe and Trazzles.

Prayers for you too Cocoa and anybody else who needs them.

Today has been a very up and down sort of day. My thoughts have been dropping lower and lower and then bouncing back up again. I had a big issue at the weekend and I did not respond in the best way and it's hit me quite hard. But I just have to hold onto the fact that what is done is done and I am surrounded by some wonderful, understanding people who love and care for me. I am also in a great deal of pain, I think I pushed myself too much at the weekend and could not do my physio as I was in too much pain. I have been using lots of pain relief but it's not helping much.

Sorry, this feels like such a negative post. I am very thankful for all the wonderful things in my life, the daffodils that have come up all around us, the small, tiny buds beginning to grow on the bushes that DP and I passed on our walk that symbolise new life.

EddSimcox · 13/03/2017 18:28

Prayers for all, for Joe, Cocoa, Lisette, Orchid, Bes, MHD, Oma... and everyone else

But especially today Saa I am thinking of you and praying that you find the strength and presence to keep on the road to recovery. It's good that you enjoyed the mindfulness last week. Your post about the weekend is a little cryptic (no doubt deliberately so) but your posts show that you want to get better, and therefore I'm sure you will get there in the end. I hope the love and prayers of us all here can help with that, along with the care of those around you in RL, and I pray the pain you are in today starts to fade quickly.

Could I ask for prayers please for my DD1, for courage and strength and optimism. Thank you.
