The yurt dawns into bud

Early paps has discovered this name via a dream and so I post the new yurt thread here.

Today I draw in my reserves of strength and sit in silent contemplation of all around me with a crackling fire for company. The world is still and ghostly with pale wreaths of fog and the smoke of my fire melts into the mists.

Aldruc has offered me some of his land on the sea shore, in the back, gum trees stand tall like a frill of green.

Its a dump on the beach, but its worth much more in spirit and harmony. Aldruc says we can then spend more time working on the crystal that stands in my mind and the rock that has not yet flowered in my heart.

He has me sewing a blanket from the fibres we gathered as we travelled through the portal afew days ago. It will mean that the next time we travel, we will take the blanket with us so that we can return home and not rely on his cheese, which made our clothes really rank.

glitterfairy · 13/03/2007 20:18

Lol Paps so there is private ownership in the lands then. HO hum may have to start a revolution or three and overthrow the capitalists!

Am settled tonight in the library sipping a wonderful elderflower champagne and eating toasted hallumi cheese.I am watching the stars through the telescope which gothicmama has left propped up nearby. They are beautiful tonight and the sky is inky black.

The land of Bong is just full of squatters with lofty ideals! I am allowed to squat on his squatted land as such.

The blanket keeps my fingers busy and mind concentrated. Once its too dark for the needle and my hand to flow, I will pop up to the library to say hello and star gaze with you

glitterfairy · 14/03/2007 09:54

LOL i knew you would turn it into something groovy paps.

Today I am flying in a micro glider alongside my eagle totem. She swoops and shows me which air current to follow as I silently cruise at her level. We are following a meandering river which glitters in the valley below. THe forest is a green haze of trees and the mountains are snow capped and shimmer. In the distance the sea is a greeny blue ribbon sparkling and dancing in the sunlight.

Artists if not too insipid, make fantastic sensual lovers - but are often more than not roller coaster rides in the emotional department.

Which gives me the idea to go visit one and lie about naked and liberated for the day. His name is Tam Lin inspired from this ballad...

Janet and Tam Lin

At Carterhaugh on the borders, where many a strange thing is said to happen and there's many a door to elfland, there is a well, and on the well is writ these words:
Oh I forbid ye, maidens a'
What wear gold in your hair
To come or go by Carterhaugh
For young Tam Lin is there.
Now Tam Lin was a lad that had an uncanny fame. It was said that if any maid come to the well without asking leave of him, she must pay him a price. It might be her gold brooch; it might be her green silk cape; or it might be her maidenhood.
Now, Janet was a spirited lass, one who might be more drawn to the well by the words on it than frightened away. Her father was a laird, and she loved to go running in the woods of all his land. On this particular day, she had on her yellow silk dress which became her so, and her green silk cape, fastened about with a gold brooch. She had her skirts tucked up, the better for running through the high grass, and she was making her way across her father's land, when she came upon the well. There was a horse nearby, and it was Tam Lin's horse, but this Janet did not know.
Oh I forbid ye, maidens a'
What wear gold in your hair
To come or go by Carterhaugh
For young Tam Lin is there.
She plucked a rose, and when she did, Tam Lin appeared.
"Well, now," says he. "What would you be doing at my well without asking leave of me?" he asks.
"Oh?" says she. "This is my father's land, and I'll come here if I like, and I'll pluck a rose if I like."
"Well, then," says he, "You must pay my price."
And he took her hand, and she smiled and went with him, and at the end of that golden day she still had her gold brooch, she still had her green silk cloak, and yet she had paid the price.
The next day, Janet came again to the well, and she plucked a double rose, and Tam Lin appeared, and she said to him: "Art thou a Christian lad? Has thee been baptized in the church?"
"Aye," said he. "I am a Christian lad, a mortal man.
"One winter I was staying with my uncle, the Earl of Roxenburg, and we were out on a hunt. It was a cold day, and a snell wind was blowing, and by some enchantment I was thrown from my horse. And the faerie queen, she took me all away to Elfland.
"I'll tell thee, Janet, Elfland is a beautiful place, but I'm not happy there, for I'm not free. And every seven years the faerie queen must pay a tribute to the devil, and this year I fear it is to be myself, but you can help me if you will."
"Oh, my love," said Janet. "That is what I will do."
"Tonight, at the mirk hour of midnight, you must come to this place. You'll hear the jingling of the bridles of the faerie host as they come riding through. The first to come, 'twill be on a black horse, let it pass. The next to come, 'twill be on a brown horse, let it pass. The next to come will be on a white horse and it will be myself and you must take me."
"And here is how you will know 'tis me: my left hand will be gloved, and my right hand will be bare; my hair will be pulled back beneath my bonnet, and you must approach as I ride out and pull me from my horse."
"Oh, my love," said Janet. "That is what I will do."
"But the faerie queen has placed a curse upon me, Janet. When you grab hold of me, I'll turn first into a lizard, then into a snake, then into a lion, then a bear, and then into a bar of iron that will burn you, then last into molten lead, but still you must hold me."
"Oh, my love," said Janet. "That is what I will do."
"And the lead you must throw into the well, and from it shall rise a mortal man, naked as the day he was born, and 'twill be myself. You must throw your cloak 'round me, and carry me off to your father's house."
"Oh, my love," said Janet. "That is what I will do."
That night, Janet made her way to the well, and at the mirk hour of midnight, she heard the jingling of the faerie bridles as the came riding through. The first to come, it was on a black horse; she let it pass. The next to come, 'twas on a brown horse; she let it pass. The third to come was on a white horse. She ran up and reached for the rider. The left hand was gloved and the right hand was bare, his hair was pulled back beneath his bonnet, and she pulled him from his horse.
As he fell to the ground, he became a lizard, and she held and held, even as he squirmed; then he became a snake, no little legs even to grasp, and he struck at her, yet still she held tight. Then he turned into a lion, who slashed her with his claws, then a bear who fell upon her with his great weight, and still she held on. Then he turned into a bar of iron, which burnt her hands, yet still she held, and last into a blob of molten lead which could not be held, yet she did. And she threw it into the well, and from the well arose a mortal man, naked as the day he was born, and it was her own Tam Lin, and she wrapped him in her cloak and put him upon her own horse and began to ride.
But a voice arose from the broombush: "Curses on you, Janet! You have taken my best knight! And as for you, Tam Lin, if I had known what I know now, I would have plucked out both your eyes and given you eyes of wood!"
But the power of the faerie queen was wanting against the power of their love. They rode off to Janet's father's castle, and there they were wed and lived happily, and the bairn that was born to them was the bonniest in the land.

In real life I bought a house today, still I squat in this land with contented smile and fond memories. The dolphins call to me today to dive down and celebrate a new life, I will be living close to them and their calls now.

After visiting the dolphins I will sleep in my thistledown Bong tree as am very tired after sewing and travelling with Aldruc.

glitterfairy · 17/03/2007 08:25

Paps happy home for you I really hope and trust in rl. New beginnings, shed your old skin and be re born. My new life has been hard won but is completely rewarding and fulfilling in every way.

Here today I am resting and having treatments. I am having all nails done, massage with hot stones from the pools in the mountains, facial and hair done as well. It is a pampering day at the spa wiht reiki and pilates thrown in and a lunch of fresh herb salad from the meadows in the mountains and nettle soup.

Papillon · 19/03/2007 00:55

Soothing treatments of a sensuous kind today, is what I desire. Foot massage then manicure. All over body massage then cooling plunge into a gel which coats the body in its waves of motion. The gel will peel off gently and gives the skin a wonderous glow.

Scalp massage to finish to sweetly invigorate my mind.

glitterfairy · 19/03/2007 07:40

Ahhh we are on the same plane then Paps.

I am on a journey today looking for the magic blessing tree. I want to lie under its branches and count my blessings looking into the clear blue sky. The tree is on the mountain and is reached by a steep climb alongside a tumbling waterfall and trees of pure blossom. As you reach a bend in the track you can see the valley laid below you and up above the tree waves its branches in freindly welcome against the skyline. I have a flask of berry juice and some goats cheese and spelt bread and am looking forward to a heart pounding climb.

Today finds me in the field of potholes. You jump in a pothole and depending on your mood and the savvy of the hole you get sprung out, bit like jack in the box. Am having a boinging day in bong land.

Will go to spa later to knead out boings

glitterfairy · 21/03/2007 08:02

I found the blessing tree and counted my belssings all day but there were too many so I camped under the tree overnight under the stars in a small yurt which is nearby. I styaed up all night meditating on how rich life was and how good things were and how lucky I was.

I have returned to the lands renewed and today I am going to the ocean to play wiht the dophins.

Pity we can't have our Yurt holiday in France this year! Blessing tree sounds wonderful, inspired I am off to look for the Prayer and Abundance Tree. The dolphins have told me how to search using sonar that will bounce off the canyon walls where the tree resides.

There is a waterfall nearby and a fire so that all the elements can be honoured and united.

glitterfairy · 24/03/2007 09:22

The waterfall has set me off now paps and I am setting out today on a journey to our own niagra. We have balloons which fly high over the falls and through which we can admire the rainbows they make. I cannot stand too near as I want to fall through the air and inot their watery mists but know that this is dangerous even here in the lands.

OP posts:
Papillon · 25/03/2007 09:14

The sound the waterfall makes, the boom reverberates through us, travelling upwards reminding us that the earth has a Soul ever ready to teach us over and over again.

Sound is such a fleeting gift, in which we must find the gaps. For in the gaps is spirit without possession, a release from human reaction.

Today I travel back from the waterfall with gaps woven into my being. They allow me to lighten my load rather than gather clutter which would otherwise burden the journey of the Soul.

glitterfairy · 27/03/2007 12:21

It is the gap between the stimulus and the response paps which gives us freedom. It is there we make our choices and decide how we will proceed.

Today I am concentrating on meditation within the fairy glade. I watch the shadows fall and note every small thing, the latterns of the light and shade, the first buds small green and bunched up hiding the leaf within. I notice the movement of the grass and the colours of the greens which surround me. I take the patterns of the tree and let them weave their magic spells as I trace their branches one by one and note how they begin and end.

Very bad back in RL so I am being float being soothed here by cooling balms which also keep me warm as my body begins to find balance. My head is cooled by whispers that blow gently in my ear and clear the pain and blockage.

Once the treatment is over I will rest in my thistledown Bong tree and sleep.

glitterfairy · 29/03/2007 07:09

Paps, am sending you honey from the bong tree bees, healing berries from the bushes in the mountain plains and seaweed taken from the underwater prairie where the dolphins play to heal you.

I would like to rest today in the yurt on cushions and rugs of softest cashmere and drink steaming sherbet from the fairy grove.

My hips are frozen and sit in the honey, it warms my bones. After I go to watch a Goddess Show that is traveling through the lands of the Yurt and Bong. Soulful woman, feisty woman, woman of everything above and below. Their steps are purposeful and in trust they find trust returns.

They are so colourful the Goddess women, as they dance and sing I am entranced by their freedom and feminine strength.

In the evening a light rain baths the land and I climb the rainbows to sit in the gaps between the colours watching stimuli and response co-create

glitterfairy · 31/03/2007 08:39

Paps I tagged along to the Goddess show and really enjoyed the freedom and liberation. I am in a trance at the rainbows and the play of light and shadow on the hills and mountains. Colour light and space is all around at this time of year and as buds start to come and colour returns my spirit lifts and I become free once more.

OP posts:
Papillon · 01/04/2007 22:23

Today I walk with my Manuka stick to the circle of the song. A warm stone calls to my heart and as I sit upon its tender surface my Will activates and calls out to her partner the Spirit in the Body. There I will find balance in my heart of emotions and the process of true response.

The whisper of Goddess woman traces the winds, drawing the Mother Earth to heal and dance with her into the night light.

glitterfairy · 02/04/2007 08:32

Ah the healing power of the earth paps.

I am dancing today with the spring breeze. I am barefoot and dressed all in green merging with the colours of the spring grass and trees. My hair is also green for the occassion and after my dance through the meadows and forest glades I will go up to the market which is open today and buy us all some fresh spring vegetables and make a huge pot of soup.

I feel light and free and blessed.

Today I meditate in my Bong tree, it is comfortable and cosy - the sitting place reflects my meditation of inner listening, desire and pleasure.

Above me the reflection of inner listening is a jigsaw mirrored illuminating each piece of me and the universe as my memory strengthens it communication with the heart, the will and the spirit.

The mist that gathers is not cold, it is in fact threads of knowledge stored and unfurls as wisdom
