Hi,
I am a long-time lurker, and have just joined Mumsnet to publish this prayer for favours granted:

Dear Heart of Jesus in the past I have asked for many favours. This time I ask you this very special one (mention favour). Take it dear Heart of Jesus and place it within your own broken heart where your Father sees it. Then in His merciful eyes it will become your favour, not mine. Amen.

Say this prayer for 3 days, promise publication and favour will be granted, never know to fail.

Thank you.

full - I think you are well out of order to call the OP evil. All she is saying is that this prayer has worked for her.

No that is not what she is saying sunny- she is telling others how to have their prayers answered. She gives explicit instructions.

Do you believe in good and evil, full? I thought you had said, sometime in the past, that you didn't?

fulltothebrim · 25/04/2015 07:50

Not as entities capsium. As values and expecially as words to use that christians understand.

praying is more a method for people to connect with God and tune in to his love

I can totally get behind that concept and I think that if people feel strength and guidance and love through prayer, then that's wonderful.

I prayed so hard and fervently as a child that my knees were raw, begging God to either stop my abuser from abusing me, or to let me die. Neither of those things happened.

I have a real problem with claiming that God will do you a favour if you make your prayer into a chain letter. Pretty sure God didn't ask St Peter to set up a viral marketing campaign to bring more souls back to the fold Hmm
