Strange things have been happening in my life, for as long as i can remember I have felt something, I can't really explain it but it's always been there iyswim.

Any hoo, since becoming pg with ds1 "it" for want of a better word has been making its presence felt more (ds1 is now 4yo) I can't really go into the full details as I would need to open an entire site to contain it all lol

Here goes nothing:

• I can always smell it, over the years the smell has changed. Previously quite plesent but now its almost unbearable.

-noises and flickering lights, small bits of plastic dropping in the hallway. Can't explain them away

• My dp ds and dsd all report feeling something in the hallway, on stairs, in ds bedroom and bathroom. They all get the jitters about it. Only came to light when i asked them all seperatly.

• My ds seems to be the worst affected, nightmares, won't go into some areas of the house alone etc. He is petrified at times

I could go on but I won't lol. I am now becoming worried about "it" to. My Aunt visited me today with my DM. She has a psycic ability of sorts, I asked her if she would have a wonder around the house to see if she could feel anything, never in the world expecting what she came back with.

She asked about a doll that had my name before i did (if that makes sense) My dm came back with the story of a doll that was won in a guess the name thingy by my grandfather. She feels it is a spirit attatched to the doll that became atatched to me. the only way to get rid is to take it home. I knew where it came from before she did btw.

Any input or suggestions would be greatfully recieved. I am at a loss now, don't know where to go from here.

You could try getting in touch with your local spiritualist church. They should be able to recommend a good medium who could come to your house and also talk to you. You need a really experienced and understanding person. This isn't going to just go away, and it is affecting your life. You could look in the phone book or on line. Beware of people who advertise in the small ads etc.

An aresol can which was stored in the hall cupboard bloody burst last night, while i was on the phone talking to my mum.

I didn't dramatically explode, it started hissing. We couldn't work out wtf it was. I thought it was the radiator. Obv not. The can was undamaged, alawys stored there. Had a hole like a pinprick in it.

Had another bad night with the ds's. Starts at the same time every night 2am.

Need to do something but I don't know what to do

Where is "home"?

My family are all from the outer hebrides, that is where the doll came from. I have been to the place it comes from many times as I dream about it regularly. Its a small house near a loch/lake.

My aunt described the place to a tee. Before I could mention it. It apparently is someting to do with my family.

Is taking the doll "home" something you could do?

Could you post it there? Or do you think you have to take it?

The doll is gone, I don't even remember seeing it. My mum and aunt have been going through the family trying to locate it, but no luck.

In any case, my aunt thinks its a pointless excercise, as do i, as it is attached to me. Having the doll won't make a difference iyswim.

I would try the local spiritualist church too.

If it is a spirit that has attached itself to you, a good medium would be able to rescue it and help it to return to the light. Do try your local spiritualist church - they will be perfectly used to this type of request.

could you go to the dolls home, possibly with a medium and try and convince the spirit to stay there? it might be happy to be returned to its rightful home and find peace there.

If your son wakes at the same time every night with nightmares could it be a more physical explanation of night terrors? I've heard that children wake at the same time with that and the answer is to wake them before the time that they would normally wake themselves iyswim? Very interesting, hope you've got something sorted now?

Where do you live DGB? I had a lovely lady (recommended by a spiritualist friend) come to my house and sort a few "issues" out. I'm in West Yorkshire.

I'm in the w of scotland, my ds had night terrors before. these are totally different. he can remember them and hasn't got that wide eyed awake look iyswim.
Things have kind of settled down now. Got my aunt doing a bit of detective work at the mo.
Reckon I'll still have to make a 10 hour trip to the hebrides to get rid

That's a shame. You should look to any Spiritualist churches near you. There must be a solution without the doll.
I will try to get you a contact number for my lady anyway as I think she did remote viewings ( if that's the right term) i.e. working on a house without being there.

TBH i have lived with it for so long it no longer bothers me, don't think it ever has. However, i don't like the fact that it is affecting my family now.

Sorry I cant do links! The lady is called Jackie Best and although the website talks about "sick buildings", in particular, she did sort out some similar problems to yours, for me.

NO! Please don´t go to a spiritualist church! That´s the worst thing you can do! These people bring spirits with them and you will end up with more trouble than you started.

You have evil spirits in your home and only an Evangelical minister/pastor can get rid of them for you. Try an Elim church or some other pentecostal one in your area. Seriously... had loads of dealings with this.

Also, please do not get into seances and ouiga (sp?) boards etc. You will only encourage more spirits into your home. Have you been involved in anything like this as it is this sort of thing that "opens" you and your home up to them.

They won't open or bring anything with them - they will communicate with what is already there and that is all.

I agree with leaving ouija and seances, but a trained medium can help.

No practical advice I 'm afraid but this is one of the most eery things I have ever read of in fiction or real experience.

FS they make not think they bring anything with them but by the nature of what they do they have spirits within them. How else do you think they communicate "on behalf" of the dead?

It isn´t really your dead departed granny who speaks through them.. it is a spirit who has been around since the beginning of time and knows us all better than our family do and hence they can masquerade as departed loved ones to lure us in.

Spiritualists and mediums totally believe they are contacted by departed loved ones though.

OOOOoooohhhh! I didn't want to start a debate lol

maymay it isn't my hous thats the prob, the spirit is attached to me. I have known this since i can remember. my Aunt is a member of an evangenical church and my step cousin is a pastor. She would NOT recomend any involvment from them in this situation.
