What was the dream about?

some clues to help you:

what is the real life context, is there is big issue right now? but more specifically what were you doing the day/eve before the dream? what was happening? anything you can link?

who are you protagonists/antagonists?

where are you in the dream?

how did you feel about the dream when you woke up? does that feeling tie in with how you would normally feel about what happened in it?

remember dreams are symbolic: they operate in symbols not language although wordplay can feature.

if you tell me the dream i'll have a go. i've done a short training in dreams from a jungian pov.

what was happening in real life just before you dreamed the dream? can you give a bit of context?

The girl in the dream represents you (not your daughter). Perhaps you have been reading something that embarassed you or that could be embarassing. Is reading scripture is a normal part of your life, or something unusual? Think about what it means to you.

Your daughter can read but not understand. She reads scriptures and becomes upset.

Does she get upset about not being able to read? Or do you feel in your unconscious dreaming a sadness about this?

Perhaps the game (toybox) within God (scriptures) is showing that speaking in tongues does not require reading or writing. That it all is really still beyond human comprehension, which, unsettles people (you) - your dd being autistic is a symbol of this in the dream.

Unless someone knows you and your situation well, I think it is mostly down to you to figure it out.

One trick that can help is to imagine that all of the different parts of the dream - from the toybox to your daughter - are parts of you. Write or imagine a short description of the dream from their point of view. You can get some quite surprising perspectives that way.
