Experiences with angels

Hi, I just wondered if anyone felt like sharing any angel experiences?

Please, I ask with the utmost of respect, if you don't believe in angels or want to debate about their existence or non existence - I'd rather that this thread didn't turn into another wonderous thread of believers and non believers.

No experiences here well not that I know of anyway! I would love to see/hear/feel an angel presence. Interested to know people's experiences too

I can feel my guardian angel on my left shoulder.

That sounds really odd. I am actually quite normal

I was once in Madrid train station, alone, with no knowledge of Spanish, trying to get to the airport and utterly bewildered. I'm Muslim, and as I sat on a bench trying to formulate a plan, another Muslim women greeted me and sat down. I did an impression of an aeroplane (next time I'll learn some basic language), and she accompanied me on several trains all the way to the airport, payed for all my tickets, got me to the airport and breezed off as casually as she'd breezed in. I've always suspected she was on angel.

I've never seen an angel but several years ago (&this may out me) I was in a fairly remote village in south America & had encountered a sexual harassment from a local extremely high up official. Noone would have believed me or even if they did they would have taken his side.

I really thought I was in danger of being raped. This official took me to a restaurant to 'help' me relax, & while there I was served by a Greek speaking waiter. This was very bizarre as apart from English the only other language I'm fluent in is Greek. I told this guy my problem, & he managed to get me out of there & onto a coach out of the village within an hour. I sometimes wonder if he was an angel, I felt very lucky that I met him.

:) I'm normal too........I feel my guardian angel on my left hand side too :)
Thank you for sharing everyone. I try to spread the word that this is exactly how angels work, through others, through the words we might overhear, through the songs we hear, through strangers helping us, their help is limitless :)

Flosie, I have so many to share. Here is a special one to me, and no matter how ordinary it sounds - it doesn't matter, as this is how angels work. I had a tough time during my pregnancy with severe SPD and was on the edge constantly when I kept asking for help.
Doctors had no clue. I'd already seen a physio for a year, and to be honest, wasn't that much different to when I was pregnant. I could walk - somewhat, but not very far - but was in awful pain constantly.
I decided to contact the pelvic partnership for a list of practitioners, and decided that I would use my inner intuition to choose who would be best for me to see. I checked the list, and no names 'jumped out' at me. So I just left that idea on the shelf.
Later on (days) I was randomly browsing the web, and all of a sudden my internet explorer opened up at some website to do with some kind of bodywork. The business had an 'arc' in the name. I was like, oh there's my internet explorer taking a maddy again, so I dismissed it. Then, the thought crossed my mind - what was that website? I had a look again and then I asked my angels to give me another definitive sign that I couldn't miss: if I were to visit this practitioner. Afterall, I was in pain and wasn't ready to take the chance on someone who knew nothing about my condition.
The next day, I was driving along and the most beautiful rainbow (one may say an arc?) appeared in the sky in front of me. So, it dawned on me that this was my way forward. I contacted the practitioner, and the very night I went to see her I could actually lie on my side in bed without any pain - something I hadn't been able to do since before I was pregnant. This was over a year ago, and I continued to see that practitioner for a few months and gladly I am owing her all my thanks to getting my body back into something I recognise as me.
I'd like to just stick in here that whilst I was pregnant and housebound, one of my friends had a dream that I was playing football with a small blonde boy. Looking back - this was a message of hope for me to know that I would achieve my body functions back. :)

That sounds lovely. I'm trying to rack my brains to see if I've experienced something similar but I suppose I would remember!

Although there is something I could share. I passed my driving test last October, this was my 6th test. I decided to start learning again after a 2 year break when I fell pregnant as I knew it just wouldn't do get on and off a bus with pram and shopping etc.

Anyway on the day of my test I did 6 hours of driving before my test to get as much practice in as possible and do a couple of mock tests with my instructor. For the whole 6 hours I was my usual erratic nervous self before a test and was making huge mistakes. My instructor even told me that if I carries on like that I'd just fail again.

When we arrived at the test centre I sat very quietly and made a plea in my head (who to I don't know) to give me the best chance possible by no other idiot drivers being on the road, roads to be very quiet, easy test route, easy manoeuvre selection etc.

When I was called I took a deep breath and got into the car. Let me tell you the test could not have been any easier! The roads were sooooo quiet hardly anyone around even though it was end of school time, the test route was the one I'd just literally done as a practice with my instructor and the manoeuvre I got given was turn in the road! The examiner also asked me to do an emergency stop I instantly thought "oh no now I'm going to fail" as we went to do it we found all of a sudden there was too much traffic on the roads so the examiner just shrugged it off and said we'll leave that out!

Ended up with 2 minors

I always assumed it was my mum looking out for me.

In the last 18 months I've lost my grandma,granda and fil and had DS. I am not religious, we had a humanist wedding but since losing my relatives last year I have this feeling that someone is watching over us.

Small things I can't explain keep happening. When I lose things, I can be searching for them, then all of a sudden, they just appear infront of me, somewhere I have already looked. I have pnd and was very low at one point. I just wanted to crawl into a cave and stay there. Something funny happend, the living room door blew open. Something it had never done before it had knocked down a book, one of the ones you get from the HV when babies get their jabs. It fell open at the pnd page. When I lifted the book up, there was a white feather on the floor. Dh thinks I'm a bit silly, but I believe it was someone trying to help me in the only way they could.

Ds has always been a good baby, very rarely cries and ther is usually I cgood explanation. He always points at a photo of fil and shouts Dode. Fil was George known as Dode, but it's not a name we every use for him, to us he was dad or grandad.

I think I find it comforting that someone might be there watching over us. Just not in the bathroom or bedrooms! And I've said it out loud too, just so they know.

Flosie, that is a wonderful experience for you! I love this, and thanks for sharing.

Glaikit - I'm sorry for your loss. What you have said is similar to my own experiences of losing loved ones, and then finding many feathers, items and help with things. You know that they know without you saying it out loud. Any time you send a thought out, it gets there :)

Hi Indigo. At the moment I have an idea that has sparked a fire in my belly, but it's stepping into the unkown without a safety harness. So yesterday, I consulted my Angel cards (Doreen Virtue) and got Daydream, with the explanation reading something like ' Allow yourself to dream bog' and 'try something you've always wanted to do' . (Had looked into this idea 10 yrs ago, went on a business course etc then)
Still not convinced, ungratefull person that I am, asked the angel for a definate sign that I should follow this dream and do omething about it. The sat down to read the freeTesco mag, and they had two articles, headed 'turn your hobby into a business' and ' be your own boss'
Well, blow me over with a white feather. Double whammy!

At my gran's funeral I was clearly really upset anyway but I was also really nervous because I'd been asked to read a poem and I'm terrified of public speaking. It was raining like crazy that day and I could hear my heart pounding because I was so scared. But the minute before I stood up the heavens burst open with sunlight and my nervousness vanished. My gran was my angel and I knew she was there x x

My uncle was being treated in hospital for a serious heart condition. He said he was feeling very scared and alone when a lovely petite blonde nurse came and held his hand. She held his hand through her whole 12 hour shift, during all his major treatment. When he asked for her the next night there was no one who worked there that matched her description. He's convinced she was his guardian angel :)

Does anyone know how to contact your guardian angel or ask for help from the angels? I've heard lots of things like asking aloud and ending the request with a particular phrase (but can't remember any more details than that)!

I've told this story before but a good few years ago now I was at home one evening just before Christmas. DS1 was a toddler and I was a single mum at that time. We lived in a terraced house and there was a knock on the back door. I looked out of the upstairs window where I was at the time. It was a man, in his 50's ish and he called up to me, I never actually opened the door. He wanted to know if I knew where the old lady next door but one was. He was worried that she wasn't opening the door when he knocked, he said he had some shopping as she was housebound. I didn't know anything so I told him this and he said just leave it then and he'd come back the next day. With that he went and disappeared into the night (in a normal sense not a sudden "magic" sense). I was uneasy about the whole thing so quickly went to the lady's house and knocked. There was a key on the inside and my gut feeling was that something was indeed wrong. So, I phoned the police and after faffing about phoning me back to confirm my identity and taking a statement they broke in. The lady had had a fall and had been there immobile on the floor since the previous night. She had no central heating and the paramedic who came out said that the house was so cold she would have died if I had left it. She was taken off to hospital and I went to bed. The next day her nephew (nearest relative) came round to ask me what had happened so I told him. He was very puzzled because he didn't know of anyone who shopped for his aunt and matched that description. He was also at a loss as to why someone who cared enough to shop would just leave it when not getting a reply. We agreed it was mysterious and left it at that. But the real twist came later when the old lady got out of hospital having recovered. She was out in the yard and I spoke to her. The subject of the fall and what had happened came up and she said that she couldn't imagine who the shopper was as she knew no one of that description. She hadn't been expecting anyone and didn't understand it at all. All she knew was that she'd been very afraid after falling and after a long time found herself walking down a road toward a gate. Her deceased loved ones were there but they told her it wasn't time yet, she needed to go back. Then it was dark and she felt really cold and heard breaking glass. She assumed it was a burglar but it was the police. The more I think about it the more I feel that the man would not have left footprints in the snow. To my knowledge he was never seen again by anyone. The old lady has since died but I often think of her, especially as Christmas comes round. The experience had a profound impact on me and kind of confirmed my suspicions that we are not alone and there is always someone looking out for us. Sorry about the essay but the story can't really be edited down much more without losing details.

My father, who is the least 'woo' person ever, told me he felt my grandfather standing next to him at my wedding. I'd love to believe it and I do think he'd have been there if he could. Maybe he could!

I am sure my two unborn baby angels and my brother are watching me and guiding me from above. Loving me and trying to help me, giving me strength when i am weak. I ask them sometimes for help.

I would love to be more in touch with my angels. I believe they leave you White feathers over the last 4-5 months I have found so so many - on my bed, in the middle of my newly hoovered living room x:2, 3 outside back door on 1 occasion and other numerous single ones. I really feel I need to know something... I'm just not connecting & I'm trying! Please help someone x
