Parenting books/tips from a Christian perspective

Does anyone have any recommendations for parenting books from a Christian perspective or words of wisdom? DD only 13mo, but would like to start thinking how we might teach her right from wrong, discipline her, what our house rules might be. As Christians we would like some practical ideas about how we address these issues within the Christian framework. We do attend church so she already goes to Junior Church, but obviously there's not a huge amount of impact there yet! Thanks in advance.

Three I have which recommended to me by others on a parenting course at our church: "The Parenting Book" by Nicky and Sila Lee, "Gospel-centered family" by Ed Moll & Tim Chester (the course our church ran was based on this), "Everyday Talk" by John Younts. "The Parenting Book" isn't overtly Christian unlike the other two books but the authors are on the staff at Holy Trinity Brompton so the foundations of the parenting style are Christian. Do any churches near you run a parenting course or could your church consider running one if there is enough interest? Even more useful than reading the books was talking with others about different senarios/challenges we have faced and how we have or might deal with them.

Was going to recommend Nicky and Sila's book too.

Bump. I'm really interested in this too. I've been wondering about rob parsons 60 minute mother, has anyone any thoughts on that? (not a lot of spare cash in our house hold)

Thanks everyone - think will give 'The Parenting Book' a go.
Smile My DH got given the '60 min Father' - I looked at it, but it seemed quite American. I know this doesn't always alter the content, but I do find it hard to read American books as they just don't seem relevant to me!

Rob Parsons is Welsh! He works for Care for the Family, and his books are very easy to read. The 60 minute mother is good. The Parenting Book by the Lees is good. Also Family Time by Lindsay & Mark Melluish.
