9 year old worries.

Hi all,
I know it seems silly, but my eldest daughter is 9. On a few occasions now in her life, shes confided in me that she 'sees' things. At first i was a bit worried, but got pretty used to it, especially as 1 of my 4 yr olds has been talking about her twin (who sadly passed when they were 7 weeks old), at great length about things she cant possibly know as has never been told!).
However, my 9yr old recently was excused from doing outdoor PE and spent the hours lesson in the heads office, reading a book. Yesterday she told me she saw a person, seemingly floating but in a sitting position, at the window. This was a woman, transparent, skin shrunk to bones, wearing a long white, ragged dress. She said she wasnt frightened, but never wants to be left alone in that office again, so its clearly affected her, and i honestly believe her. the schools a new build and only 10 years old, she never watches or reads anything thats beyond her understanding or unsuitable for her age either.
Has anyone else come across this? And should i explain this all to the head, or just request that she not be left alone in the school again like that? I dont want the teachers taking the micky, or thinking that i'm a complete fruit that feeds their childrens imaginations. I think it needs to be taken seriously, as my daughters rather bothered by this. Or, has anyone got any advice for something i can give her to take to school, to make her feel 'safe'?
Any advice or helpful comments greatly appreciated!

Sorry you're worried but be aware that your DD will probably pick up on how you feel which may disconcert her more. If she's not actually frightened it might be worth talking through the fact that what's happening is ok and that she is safe. Have you seen this thread ? There are a number of very knowledgeable MNers who could probably help (not my particular sphere of expertise I'm afraid) but they seem to be around mainly on weekdays. Hope you get more help tomorrow

seeing as that probably means me (amongst others) all I can say is that I am sleep deprived and abit useless today!

but the thread that Iris posted might help... although your dd is older so more detailed visualisation techniques could be used / tried.

good that she can speak to you about what she experiences

Don't worry to much Twink. I've seen things all my life too, but it was still a bit of a shock when I saw my first fully formed figure. She wasn't frightened but the image she's described didn't sound very pleasent so no wonder she doesn't want to be in there alone again.

Checkout the thread that Iris recomended and let her know that these people can't hurt her. Good luck.
