Asalamalaykum!

I thought I would start a shiny, new, fresh thread for the month of Ramandhan.

In the past we have had some nice threads on here, so please use this thread to share recipes, ideas of activities for the children (or adults!), links to any websites with cool craft ideas, tales of family traditions for fasting days/Eid or anything else that you think is relevant.

And any lurkers are welcome to read and please feel welcome to ask any questions about Islam/Muslims/The Month of Ramadhan or Eid and we will try to answer as best we can.

Where did you have your lessons littleducks?

What do you think of these online Qur'an lessons?

quranreading

My 6 yo DS has lessons at the mosque and I guess we could learn together, but he's too young to teach me. I have tried before and gotten stuck the more advanced it becomes and when you ask people ie family for help, they all seem to be too busy!

Eid Mubarak to everyone!!

Excited as I am for Eid, I must admit to being very sad to say farewell to such a lovely month, we have had such a nice time, have had iftar at the mosque nearly every day and will miss sitting down to eat with everyone and the 'community' feeling. Well inshAllah, I will be able to next year....

Hello all,
Hope some of you can help me;
We need an ARABIC speaking daytime babysiter in Cheadle, (stockport, Manchester)
We are a nice family looking for a nice lady that can play and talk arabic with our doughters ( 1 and 2 yrs old) a few hours a day so that they can learn arabic.
The post will provably suit a girl looking for some work experience or an arabic speaking mum that wants to make some money while her kids are in school.
Ideally we would like someone in the mornings, from 9.30am to 1.30pm, and will pay 6 pounds/hour. Previous experience is not necessary.
We are very friendly and are very flexible, so if you are interested please call me on 07931779680.
Sonia
