Naming Ceremony instead of Christening - where to go for info?

Can anyone direct me to a good site where I can find out more about what to include in a naming ceremony (suggested readings/formats etc) please?
I've tried googling but seem to get nothing but foreign sites which seem to promote cheesiness in the extreme.

you'd be best off speaking to your local council - i am in herts and the registrars (ie wedding etc) run these ceremonies. Where abouts are you?

I looked into it and found some lovely readings, poems, formats etc, if you want to CAT me I'll email them to you. I also sent away for the Humanist New Arrivals booklet which is lovely.

We had one last year

It was wonderful!

We used a format given by our excellent Celebrant (we e-mailed the Humanist Souciety via their website and they put us in touch). I then used the internet to find readings, etc- DH found a poem called 'your name' which was appropritae as it was about passing an ame down from father to Son, and I found readings on other sites along with 'promises' for his odd-parents to make. It worked wonderfully. IOt conincided with DS3's first birthday and we had it in our garden.
