Papillon · 29/08/2005 10:52

very well... slight brush with a cold in the weekend but feeling heaps better. how are you doing?

yes dreams fascinate me especially being pregnant and full of them atm!

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 10:57

Im good, am back home now. had a lovely time and am much better for it. Missed the kids though! and am now missing Isaa loads!!

Im always having vivid dreams, i was reading up about them and found out loads. Im more able to control them now which is great, can also 'select' a dream

eefs · 29/08/2005 11:00

what's this about? I had a horrible dream last night about ds2 playing by an open, second story window that started a floor level. I ran over to stop him falling out and watched in horror as DS1 fell out. I ran downstairs and when I got to him he was all broken and not moving.
I woke up then and had to bring DS1 into our bed to make sure he was ok, even so I couldn't sleep for a long time as everytime I closed my eyes I could see it all again.

Now I've been nervous about DS2 trying to open our windows upstairs so have put locks on them so I made that connection but I woke up terrified about ds1. Never happened before, it was so vivid.
Any ideas?

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 11:10

H Eefs

As with anything like this i can only give you my interpretation. Different signs mean different things to different people.

Firstly, dont worry that something is going to happen to your child. This to me indicates worry and perhaps a disapointment in the future. Maybe you are working at something that isnt going well or one of your dreams/hopes isnt going as planned or seems like its all going wrong.

Its Scary to dream about your child like that though. Ive had dreams like it b4 - they leave you a bit shaky ((((eef))))

Papillon · 29/08/2005 11:39

heres the paps take !

Your subconscious gave you wise warnings eefs and you were right on to take your dreams advice and put locks on the windows. Well done on listening to your intuition.

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 11:44

intutions hard to accept sometimes though. was talking to someone last night who keep saying 'i feel this and that' but thought it was his imagination. Hard lesson to larn - learning to hear within, but worthwhile

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 11:45

learn*

Papillon · 29/08/2005 11:49

Yes, totally agree... I find it a worthwhile journey also, has also given me good dose of confidence and peace in life.

I think this is my mantra for the month!

What has been lost is the ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE ? not the instinct itself.

Papillon · 29/08/2005 11:50

oh! I just thought that was your larned dialect coming through HB

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 11:58

lol @ my accent coming through

yup, its the ability to recognise thats been lost..... so how do people get that back? I suppose its about understanding, learning and accepting, which unfortunatly many people dont do.

Instint is so importation (intuation) its the first response in situations. an immediate 'yes' or 'no' or a 'this is not right' reaction.

Once you start listening to yourself and understanding yourself, you are able to open up and explore other areas. Like for example empathy - which many people have but dont uncover

Papillon · 29/08/2005 12:09

huggypaps So pleased to have meet you properly btw - it feels like the right time - instinctive

I think finding your instincts and responding to emotions on an immediate level is personal to the individual BUT I do feel that there are universal markers which all people can relate to and learn from.

Like how did you discover your way to being Empathic? A personal journey, an inkling you followed perhaps? I love Clarissa Pinkola Estés book.. women who run with the wolves.. all about the instinctual roar, the power of the wild woman.

How did I discover my way into all that we speak of... nature and nuture - I am writing about it atm.. will give you a copy when done in about 2 days time

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 12:32

LOL @ huggypaps and is great to get to kmow you properly too.

I think that reading and asking questions led me to start realising that i could identify with Empathy. There are several types of empathy like - Emotional Oneness which is sensing others feelings and taking them on - as if they were yours. this is intuative empathy too.

or pysical empathy - where you pick up others aches and pains (useful for healing) also known as physical intutive or just sensing there aches and pains - physical openness

and then theres Intellectual Shape Shifting. which is the type of thing where you know what some ones gonna say before they say it or know what they mean to say even though they dont come straight out and say it, like you pick up on there train of thought.

incidentally - can you apply any of these to you? (i think you might find u can

and we've completely hijacked this thread too lol

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 12:32

am not even gonna bother correcting my spelling

eefs · 29/08/2005 12:35

that's really interesting.
I had put the locks on the windows before the dream but I know that dreams are also a way of replaying the day to make sense of it so that's where that part came from.
I am also having an on-going arguement with dp that seems to have no resolve (we are both too stubborn) and I am worried about it and us. gah. DS1 was delighted to wake up in our bed this morning though so all's well.

Should we take any direction from our dreams?

HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 12:41

Eef - i think you are putting a lot of effort into to something at the moment (maybe this thing with you dh) and its on your mind alot. Subconciously your dreams are playing out your fears. That all this effort will come to nothing, that the things you are hoping and wishing for arnt going to materialise.

If you're ever in MF, i'll be quite happy to read for you xxxxxxx

Donbean · 29/08/2005 12:50

HELLO!!!!! So sorry, the thread disapeared of the screen and i had to go to bed so couldnt get back till now!!!! Thanks all though for waiting....
I was getting into a lift,
A very very good friend was with me with her ds in a push chair.
We got into the lift and went down.
As the lift started to move, my friend started to take off her top!!!!!
As the lift got to the bottom, she put it back on!!!!!
We chatted in a normal way through out the lift ride.(cant remember what about though)
When we got out, i went to my car and drove home via a familiar route through the town centre......
Then was woken up by little fingers prizing my eye lids open demanding a drinkamilk.....
Any ideas/thoughts???

OP posts:
HuggyBear · 29/08/2005 12:58

can u remeber what your friend was wearing? colours?

Donbean · 29/08/2005 12:59

her top was one of those long sleeved t shirt thingies, i think it was light blue. Black pants.

OP posts:
Donbean · 29/08/2005 13:00

Donbean · 29/08/2005 13:01

I distinctly remember that she wasnt naked under the top, it was as if she was hot and removing a layer. I dont know what she was wearing underneath the top though.
