Two kittens from different litters... does it work?

After sadly losing my darling cat last week, I'm looking out for a couple of newborns to take on in a couple of month's time, when things have settled down a bit and I've had time to grieve.

I went to see some lovely kitts tonight, one of which I really like, but I'd like a ginger too, which would mean getting two kittens from different litters.

Are they likely to get on? What if I get two males (they will eventually be neutered), will it cause aggro?

I'm off to bed now but will check back in the morning. TIA .

From what I know, two young, or youngish, males, is likely to be the best combination of cats.

A good friend got a male kitten, and then a year later, another male kitten, and that's working fine for her.
