Longshot, Any Vet sWith Exotics Experience? Urgent

I have just checked on the snakes to find my pinstripe female royal showing fairly obvious signs of an RI. She seemed OK yesterday, but I have to admit to not looking overly closely at her as last time I picked her up I could feel what I thought might be follicles and so I thought it best not to disturb her too much, just for tub cleans etc.

She has made a few 'hissing' sounds whilst I was looking at her, was yawning and had some bubbles in the corners of her mouth and coming from her nose. Other than that she looks well, not lethargic, but active as I was handling her.

I rang the vets, the only exotic vets in the area (and they are 45 mins away) and spoke to a rather unhelpful receptionist. The vet/partner who deals with exotics is not working until tomorrow and the earliest appointment they can do is 4.30pm. I would much rather she is seen tonight, but I wonder how much point there is seeing a non specialist vet? I have asked that the exotics vet ring me so I can discuss whether he thinks she need so to be seen sooner, but I am not sure he'll ring me back, the receptionist didn't seem that bothered, tbh.

I have for now moved her to the top of the rack and upped the thermostat a bit, will check temps again in a minute. Is there anything else I can do? I have F10, but no nebuliser. (annoyed with myself now) How urgent is it she sees a vet tonight? How quickly is she likely to go downhill? Should I ring the vet back and insist it is an emergency?

I am sick with worry, this is my first RI and I don't want to lose this girl.

Sorry I can't help with specific advice. Have you the numbers for any other exotics vets and could call them for advice maybe? Where abouts are you?

Thanks for replying. I am in Northern Ireland and I think there is only one other exotics vet here who doesn't have a good reputation. The vet I usually see deals with the exotics at Belfast Zoo and is well known and very good.

Luckily the vet rang me back (very kind of him, he finished work early today as he had a family function to attend) and feels from my description that she will be fine until tomorrow. He advised upping the temps a bit and humidity slightly for the time being, which I have done anyway.

It's going to feel like forever to get to 4.30 tomorrow afternoon! I hate having sick animals, I am a worrier.

Thanks again for replying.
