Only training will "calm" him down but it may stop him humping things though and running after bitches.

How is he not calm?

just doesnt settle to well always wants to play , chews alot , we have a 4 y old bitch who is the total opposite of him , very calm lies close to you when watching tv , just generally better behaved , he has had training and is good on walks and recall etc

It should stop the humping, maybe he needs more exersize to calm him down though and get rid of excess energy.

Choclab your dog sound just like our woofa. He was humping legs, children and being bouncy/over loving

mine tries to sit on me. He is 10.5 stone so a lump!!!!

He lost his balls a few weeks ago maybe 6 and though no more humping he still is bouncy

def go for the chop - db was the same and didn't want the chop and my dh couldn't even mention it and cringed

there a few posts on here about woofa losing his balls and some very funny comments by BELLA

had my dog done a few weeks ago, the hump difference is amazing and he is fine.

We had to lead exercise for 10 days which was hell, completely utterly the pits, but now he has the all clear and has been exercised properly he is back to perfection again.
