She's 6 months old, we already have a 4yo cat. Our cat is fed on Wiskas pouches and also some dry Go Cat food.

The rescue have said that the new cat is fed Royal Canin complete and as we want to get her eating the same as the other cat to introduce the new food gradually. So there are 3 bowls of food out and the new cat has ignored her Royal Canin and scoffed all the other food. She obviously prefers it.

Is it going to matter a lot if she doesn't eat the other stuff or do I need to find a way to feed them seperatly?

Thanks

Are they worried new stuff might upset her digestion, or was it just that familiar food would help her settle in? If the latter, I wouldn't worry - she's obviously feeling settled.

They were just worried about her digestion, will keep an eye on the litter box. Thanks.

She's certainly settled in already, bossing the dog and other cat around!

I find they'll always go for wet food over dry if given a choice.

My two literally inhale Whiskers poucheson the odd occasion they get them (usually as a disguise for worming meds)

Royal canin is nutritionally better than Whiskas, I'd say feed a mix of wet and dry to keep a good balance.
