For adult pedigree cats (if it makes a difference)

Someone else asked a similar question a few days ago, so there's a fair bit of info on this thread.

Premiums tend to be a bit higher for pedigree cats but mainly because of their 'replacement' value and the fact that they are more desirable to thieves (it would cost more to buy another pedigree if your cat dies or gets stolen than it would to buy a moggy). But if you're not concerned with getting a refund on the amount you paid for him/her in the event of death or theft, you can set the original purchase price to zero and this will reduce your premium a bit. The same goes if you don't have a receipt from the breeder to prove how much you paid - most people don't realise they need proof of purchase to claim, so end up paying for useless 'replacement value' cover for years.

Thanks MrsL

I think I have found one I like it has:

£2000 per year per condition
£20000 per condition per lifetime

Which looks good

& when they get older the deal is the excess plus 35% of the vet bill - which is great as my old cat's insurers premium went up very high over 12
