I have CATS!!

They are lovely

Rehomed, sisters, blue and caramel tortoise-shell orientals.

One is happyish and attention seeking
One is sulking & spitting

So I guess I just leave them lone until they settle down?

Vets appointment at the end of the week or early next week I wonder?

DD is very, very happy
DH is resigned
I am at peace - a house needs (a) cat(s)

we are hopefully getting a cat in the next few months. Yours look lovely. We would like a rehomed one. Do you know if you are allowed to with small kids?

Same colouring as my british short-haired cats: one blue,one cream.

My two also have very different temperaments. Tom cat is very sociable - actively seeking out DCs for play & attention. Girl cat is rarely seen and hates to be picked up - you only get to stroke her if she initiates it! We have learned to accept them as they are. However, it may be that your spitting cat settles down within a few days and becomes happy and content.

I would recommend Feliway plug-in pheromone treatment. It sends out happy hormones to cats (you can't smell anything but they can). I have used it successfully when Tom cat was recovering from surgery after a car accident and also when settling in new pup this last week. Just plug it in wherever they spend most of their time.

oh they are lovely, two together is great! My two also are quite different in personality but it does take a little time for them to settle at first. So pleased DD is happy.

Very - they are beautiful.

Rehomed adult cats can take a couple of weeks or more to settle in - give them time.

Well they turned their nose up at the wet food so we put down some dry...still nothing but they ate a bit of chopped up ham that I put under each bed - they aren't speaking to each other either

Not sure - I was going to keep them I think; their pedigree name is very different

One suits the cat very well, the other doesn't quite fit

The more friendly/timid one (matches her name) I just picked up & put her by the food & she is eating

The more stand-offish/aggressive (not so sure about her name) one I haven't approached yet
