i knew she was up to summat as she came up the stairs whilst i was coming out of my bedroom and she flew across me banging her legs on the bits of cardboard that is ready to throw out and i thought i wonder why she did that??..but then i had a bad feeling that she had pooed behind the tv cab...again!! so i came up and she legged it into my daughter's bedroom to hid..i managed to get hold of her by her loose neck and threw her out!

she knows she done bad but i know she is just a cat

im quite happy to put lemon and orange drops in a container and top it up....will that work??

Dp suggested one of those air freshers that whenever it senses a body movement it will spray

how much space is there? could you fit in a small cat litter tray?

either she'll use it and it's easy to clean up, or ignore it, then problem solved!

2 drops of eucalyptus oil applied to freshly cleaned carpet/rug/wood floor (whatever surface she has pooped on ).

Worked a treat with both my cats and sisters' cats. They cannot stand the aroma of it and it eradicates the scent they leave behind.

Foil - cats hate walking on it!

MrsL123 · 25/01/2010 15:18

I second the foil and ecalyptus oil. Don't use a sensor air freshener, unless you want an expensive vet bill when it gets her in the eye

biglips · 25/01/2010 15:20

ooh ill give that a go Tulpe as thats similar to citrus stuff.

foil...wife if the oil fails then ill try that next

bumpy.....i couldnt have a litter tray in there as she does really stinky ones that makes me bawk!!!

ill be happy to shove a cork up her arse!! (joke)

shes got her litter tray in the kitchen but she waits till noone's in the living room before she does it nehind the tv cab....she only started that at the age of 2..is that normal?

righto...im off to sprinkle the eucalyptus oil and see whats wha!

MrsL - well said... i didnt think of that as this is my first cat as she's brilliant at other stuff but this!!

I tried foil when my two cats were kittens. They trampled all over the sodding stuff!!

However, they seem to have developed an aversion to foil as they have got older. If they are annoying me in the kitchen when I am trying to cook, I just rustle a piece of foil at them and then run like the clappers

fruitshootsandheaves · 25/01/2010 16:55

you need this

schroeder · 28/01/2010 15:16

Simple solutions stain and odour remover to remove the familiar(to your cat) smell. Then apply a few drops of olbas oil. This worked for us when our usually good cat started to 'go' in the hall.
