We have just got our new pup, she is 10 weeks old, but she stinks !

That stinky puppy doggy smell! I bought some doggy spritzer to rty and mask it but its not helped, can I bath her yet?

Puppy doggy smell is one of the best smells around!

Personally, I.wouldn't - it's sub zero outside and she can hardly be dirty! Wipe her over with some baby wipes if you insist in adding to the stress of leaving her littermates and being in a totally new environment ...

Thats why I was asking, as I don't want to upset her.

Sorry - didn't mean to sound harsh. It's just I can't imagine hating the smell of a new puppy, or buying puppy spritzer, but we are all different
Seriously, if you can live with it then just wipe her over. It's way too cold for baths and her smell is just about the only familiar thing she still has in her world . Dogs place huge importance on smell.

I loooooove that smell! No do not bath your puppy. You will find that the smell will decrease over the days. The puppies tend to absorb your family smell soon and you will not notice

Thanks for replies, the smell is either dwindling or we are getting used to it!

I don't want to stress her out at all, she is such a little sweetheart, and really setting her place in the family now!

The cat has finally come downstairs and is sat in the same room as Lola, still watching with a very wary eye, but it's progress!

Oh good.

The cat will keep its distance, then get close enough for pup to try to investigate, then let pup know in no uncertain terms that the cat is boss

That's how puppy/cat meetings tend to go. There is then a period of mutual respect/tolerance, which may or may not mellow into friendship.

I find cats are always fascinated by just how helpless and inferior puppies are!
