in the sunroom, and under the tree. I'm talking about pee not poo.
Husband has just spent two days washing the carpet throughout the house, to rid it of cat pee stain, cat vomit and everyday dirt. He will not be amused to find that one cat has peed on the floor under the tree last night(laminated).
I keep them (3 cats) in the sun room during the night as I don't trust them in the house if I'm not looking. Any how, despite there being 5 CLEAN cat litter trays in there, someone always prefers peeing on the floor.

What to do? On the newly washed carpets I have sprayed some spray for the vet which is meant to deter themfrom marking trouble spots. Other than locking them in the sun room and just dealing with pee there, what can I do..?

BTW, husband wants rid, but I'm too attached.

one black one gets the blame for peeing in the sunroom, and her pee has been tested and is fine.
The black cat who peed on the living room floor is a cat we've taken in a year and a half ago.
They're all female.
I know my cats are unhappy with the " new " cat - but RSPCA/ Cat protection/ local posters and a visit to the vet hasn't helped in re-homing her! Boo hoo!

Any chance you'd like a cat???

sounds like you have some feline issues here.

possibly the wee is a marking issue to do with agression or a stress issue caused by one cat who does not get on with the group.

pop in to your vets and ask them about feliway. ist a pheramone that helps to chill out cats in these sort of situations.

it could be that shutting them in the sun room at night makes the prolem worse as they are fored to be in close range of each other?

someone in the vets may well specialise in feline behaviour and be able to offer some good advice. failing that, the cat behaviour books by Vicky Halls may well offer some ideas.

good luck, hope you can get this sorted.
