Takes 48 hours - but they should be gone by now, get them back.

Make sure Rentokill do come back in a few weeks. I got told the eggs take 3 weeks to go from eggs to laying-more-eggs, so if they come back two weeks later and treat again, the flease should be properly gone.

fleas

The stuff they sprayed us with recently (not rentokil -- another firm) took four hours to work and we were not allowed back in the property and had to pull all the furniture out first. Anyway, that stuff kills the eggs as well or rather stops them hatching out.

Our cat died and the fleas turned up a few weeks later (ie they lost their food source ).

If they only bombed your place they probably didn't get them all, they need to spray the perimeter of each room and also bomb.

they spray and 48 hours later no bites

Only just seen this thread but wanted to add some thoughts...

We have two cats and a dog which were all Frontlined regularly (the Combo one, but have also used the normal one) religiously every month. Every single year for the past five years we have had fleas, and have been so heaviily infested we have ended up spending £100's on treatments, sprays, Rentokil etc. (Our dog is a collie and they are known for being allergic to fleas so she had to have numerous trips to the vet for steroid injections to take the edge of the itching so her skin could heal, and that was just ONE of the extras we had to deal with.) We have NO confidence in Frontline at all, and find it odd that practically every vet (round here at least, 'here' being Bristol) only has Frontline on display. As well as the Combo stuff we have also had our animals sprayed in the spray stuff and that did nothing (apart from piss off the animals) too. The Combo is meant to make your house unattractive to fleas and their eggs infertile but it obviously does nothing of the sort.

This year we swopped to Stonghold and for the first time in 5 years have NOT been infested with fleas. I think Frontline is utterly crap. It may have once been good, I suppose, but either the fleas have become immune to it or it has got watered down (or something.) Please, do try another flea treatment when your supplies of Frontline run out - I recommend Stronghold but others might be just as good. I cannot stress this enough - and this is someone who has had feet swollen with all the bites, and has had to take the floorboards up for Rentokil as well as wash every square inch so I know just how horrendous it is!

Also, as well as the RIP spray you can get in vets, try one called Skooch - it's bascially a sillicone gel and coats the eggs etc so they cannot hatch. Handy if you have any areas that fleas might still be (animals sleeping places for example.)
Hope your unwanted guests have gone and gone for good!
Good luck
