Guinea pigs - can a baby be introduced with a mourning older one?

Poor ds had a bit of a shock tonight - one of his guinea's has passed on

Looks like he broke his leg which is very sad... and of course, has left the other GP on his own

So, can I add a baby (boy) in with him? If not... wtf do I do?

Yes we did the same last summer, baby should be within 6 to 8 weeks at the most. Make sure the baby has somnething to hide in that the bigger one can't get into, just in case.

Our Bruno was a brilliant "Dad" to Muffin and we had no problems at all with them together and they actually get on better than Bruno did with his brother. I think this may be because Bruno is dfinitely the dominant male and in charge, he is also a much bigger GP anyway.

Sorry to hear about your GP. Did your GP die of a broken leg?

We did the same too a few months ago and they get on really well, no problem! We tried to chose a relatively "big baby" it was almost as big as the old one, even though he was 8/9 weeks old. They are now best pals! Go for it!(just noticed it was a week ago you posted this message, perhaps you already got a new one...)
