been asking dog questions lately as considering a dog but want all the information good and bad to know if its for me or not.

im thinking prob a small breed as only have a small house

apart from having to sort out arrangements for if you go on holiday, what other holdbacks are there when having a dog?

I don;t actually spend my weekends making peanut sauce with my friends

you don't need electric blankets in the winter, just bung another dog on the bed

you don't need a doorbell

they are ALWAYS pleased to see you

you don't have to water the pots, if you have a boy dog with a good aim

you can teach them to do cool stuff and show off embarrass yourself in front of your friends

you don't need a vacuum cleaner for crumbs

you don't have to rinse your plates before putting them in the dishwasher

well he has mastered getting into the car boot with the help of cheeses and granny

so a trolley should be a breeze

can you imagine that - me pushing a 10.5stone dog round sains

(I can't think of any bad things but there probably are some)

We have 2 rescue dogs (only wanted 1 dog originally but the sob story was good!) and they are fab.
A good friend of mine and dh had a leaving do on friday as moving country and we couldn't get a dog sitter. We do leave them, but they had been left for 6 hours already as I was at work (longest we leave them, usually much short.er as they go to mil's but she was on holiday) I drew the short straw and stayed in to dog sit (tho I didn't mind as got to snuggle on the bed with them and drink wine). But we wanted them so we have to make allowances like this.

The shedding (£56 yesterday for a full groom to try to limit the hairs in the house).

The fact that when he stretches out on the kitchen floor (it's cool) I can't open the fridge, the dishwasher or a single cupboard.

He likes to lie in the porch so he can supervise the street, but doesn't like me to shut the inner door, so the door's always open.

But when I brought the dc back from holiday a few days ago, ah the reunion would've brought tears to your eyes.
