Do you have a house rabbit? Is it true that they pretty much act like cats? Use a litter box etc?

We had house rabbits and they thumped in the night if they heard anything which drove us mad. Theres some statistic about the number of rabbits abandoned being huge because people dont realise how much looking after they need. We love having outdoor ones though!

My friend had a house rabbit, tbh it did shit in the house as well as its litterbox and their house smelt.

We have guinea pigs and they are pretty chunky (size of a small rabbit) and easy to pick up, I am scared of bunnies because they scrabble but my pigs are fine. Ours are in the house and they don't smell but we are religious about cleaning them out I think they do have the potential to smell.

We've got a house rabbit. He's a dwarf lop who's almost 5 and a great pet. He has a plastic hutch with litter trays in it (in his own room!) but generally lopes around the house when we're in - too much possibility for destruction to leave him out of his room when we're not around.

I could count on one hand the number of times he's been outside in the past year - he's just not a fan of the great outdoors. He has a lead and harness but just hops straight back indoors unless confined to a run (sulking in a corner).

He can be quite speedy but he's generally quite mellow (as most lops are supposed to be). He does like wires and paper/cardboard though so we've got cable protectors on most things and everything else is (now) well hidden. He's also been known to unravel all the toilet rolls Andrex puppy style.

We have a Dwarf Lop Rabbit, our wires are maskin taped to walls, house trained, will go on harness, clean, not smelly! (trained to go to patio door to go out to loo and scratches window to come back in) very cat like! likes obstacles to keep occupied, (dts toys generally) No need to buy 2 for company, happy enough with human company. Don't make any noise.

Guinea Pigs smell if you don't clean them out 'every day' eat you out of house and home, like cucumber, tomatoes, cabbage leaf, brocolli etc, like to be in a cage/familiar area boxed out, with obstacles to muse, need alot of picking up to tame, or get quite scared, can be tricky to catch. Need to buy 2 of for company. love the little noises they make, Wheeeee Wheeeee!

Both are easy enough to look after in house.

Enjoy!
