My 8m lab is still at the really chewy stage, she can demolish a hide chew in a matter of minutes. She has rubber toys and has eaten all of her soft toys. She is particularly fond of DD's soft toys, we have a few with no face left - I obviously try and keep them separate but sometimes fail. All of this I can cope with but she won't stop chewing her bedding. She sleeps in a crate when I go out and at night (I'm SAHM so only out for a couple of hours at a time not 9-5 or anything). It is not every single time she goes in the cage and she willingly goes in the cage. It is probably boredom, more than separation anxiety but I do leave her a few toys to chew on when I go out/to bed. The bed eating is getting expensive she has destroyed 3 soft beds now - one that came free with the crate, one soft fleece one and lastly a suede effect one that I thought might be a bit tougher than fleece but still washable.
Short of leaving her to sleep on the crate base with no bedding what else can I do?
