we have had our rabbits both females for five months since a few months ols so they are approx eight months old.

They have always got on well but recently one of them keeps trying to bite the other.
Does anyone else have two females together or experienced this or other strange behaviour

one of them is fighting for dominance probably. are they neutered?

you may have to have them neutered which will improve there behaviour

i have 2 females and had to do this

Sorry doen't always work, my two buns (sisters) were spayed and lived together happily for many months and at about 10 months old one just started taking lumps out of the other - I mean holes in skin the size of a pound coin or larger, not just bald patches.

They now live in seperate cages.

I want to put them back together as we have a massive outdoor ark/run (tis a huge chicken house conversion) and atm they can only go in one at a time and it is a pain.

Will watch this incase any rabbit psychologists come along!

Your best chance of them being able to stay together is to have them both neutered, but it does not always work. If they are fighting I would separate them now if you can. They can be incredibly violent to each other at times and inflict some serious injuries. Put them next to each other so they are still used to each other and contact the vet about neutering asap next week.
