what sort of brush/comb do you use? i hate ours - it seems to drag her hair badly
she is quite good at sitting but i think a different brush would be better
i found a matted bit under her front leg the otehr day and just had to cut it out she was so good at lying still but i still feel bad

have you ever had her professionally groomed? i was thinking maybe about gettng this done every so often

It us a good idea to get her groomed sometimes; it is hard to groom them throughly al lthe time, our persian used to wriggle like mad, and the cat lady had a little box and better brushes.

We used to have to cut little matted bits out of her armpits too, iyswim.

I use a double sided brush - one side has natural bristles and the other side has pins with bobbles on ...?

I wouldnt use a comb as it can drag on any matts and scrape the skin.

Just cut the matts out - that is all the groomer/vet will do - or worse they will shave it, can be very stressful for the cat and will probably cost you an arm and a leg!!!

My MIL to be has her cat "shaved" by the vet as he refuses to be brushed and is not keen on being handled. He ends up with a blanket clip every 6 months!
