Hill's pet food - interview help please

I have an interview with Hill's later this month and wondered what I would say if they asked why I wanted to work for them. (I need to go full time from my current part time job, the salary package is good and the location better for me than my current job are the true reasons). I don't particularly have a yearning to work for them any more than anyone else, but of course I can't say that in an interview. So, I was wondering if anyone who had a pet that ate Hill's (either the prescription diet or the science plan) could tell me why they liked it, to give me a better chance of giving a convincing answer to the above question.
I realise it's a bit cheeky to ask, but didn't really know where best to post this! Thanks in advance.

Oooh - exciting! I did the Hill's Nutrition adviser exam in my previous life, so will tell you what I know:

Hills say they use top quality ingredients and provide nutrtionally balanced food (oh and I've had a glass of wine so sorry for typos). A lot of health problems are caused by an excess of nutrients and Hills say their food doesn't do this. Also, they say their food is better value as it's dry and wet foods are up to 80% water so actually work out very expensive. As far as I know Hills were the first in UK to offer specific foods tailored to different ages and sizes of dogs & cats, and they also have a separate range of veterinary diets for things like kidney problems. Their website should tell you more. I would say they are the market leader and innovator in this field and you want to work for the best, not imitators.

HTH & good luck

I feed hills large breed light to my large labradoodle who is a bit of a scrounger and tends to getting fat. It is great because it gives her everything she needs and she manages to maintain a healthy weight. Before we fed that she was starting to get rather fat! It was also reccomended by our vet and we put her on hill puppy food when she was small as she had a very sensitive tum. Hills was much better tolerated than anything else.Hope this helps. Good luck with your interview

It's the only complete dry food that my fussy indoor cat will unfailingly eat. Can't help you on the science side, but my cat says 'meow, meow!'

Our cats were on Hills t/d prescripton diet ("tooth diet"), it did them great and wasn't that expensive if I bought the enormous sack every few months.

I think it seems to be a genuinely decent product tailored to the pet, in a market full of over-priced luxury food pouches designed to appeal to humans not cats.

Hills do a good range of both life stages (ie your standard kitten/puppy/adult/senior) diets as well as a very comprehensive range of prescription foods. Their prescription range is one of the most popular used by veterinary surgeons as it is well supported with literature and by the company should you need help and advice. As a company they have spent and most likely continue to spend a lot of money on updating and researching their current and new diets - consumer confidence as a result.
Good luck!

Thank you ladies! I might nick a few of the phrases on here and pass them off as my own, if asked - if you don't mind, that is!
