Husky crossed with Alsation - Anyone know?

We have been offered a lovely 3 months old Husky (dad) crossed with Alsation (Mum), he seems a lovely nature: no biting, chewing or howling and is already house trained. We have met the mum who seems of quiet natue too especially around Kids. Pup seems to have taken a liking to DS age 5 and followed him around and sat on his lap with none of the boisterous behiour expected of pups. Also have DD of 8. I have read earlier threads about huskies and was concerned about not being able to let off lead as we live in glorious countryside just right for long walks . So does anyone out there no if this also applies to cross breeds? HELP

sounds like hard work, don't huskies need loads of exercise, very strong leadership etc. Presumably with cross breeds it's bit more like lucy dip, you could get the hardest bits of both breeds!

ooh er ! was rather hpoing for best bits of both breeds actually. ever an optimist!

My friend when I was younger used to have one...he used to have to go bike riding with the dog (the dog running beside obviously ) to give the dog enough excercise.

It was a lovely dog though

omg, not looking good for this pup then. I do bike ride but struggling with very fast husky on lead conjours image of opening scene of 101 dalmations when leading lady ends up in lake!

lol valence. It's going to be a big, strong dog which will need a lot of exercise and plenty of training. And it will moult like crazy. And it doesn't chew now but it will when it starts teething in a month or so.

That's all my negatives!!!

But I do love both breeds and if you can cope it could be fab

no you've convinced me - I 'll go for a goldfish. Thanks ladies you've been fab! night night

my friend also has a huskie x gsd. she had hell and all trouble with hers when she was a young dog. she is better now at about 4 years old. plus she is massive, rreally tall, broad and a hefty girl(the dog)
another friend also has a pure husky and has a special collar which gives a little electric shock (i'm not endorsing thhat though!!) if she runs off to far and doesnt respond when called, which apparently works.
