Litter training kitten+cleaning tips needed

I adopted a kitten a couple weeks ago, and though she was litter trained and used the litter on day 1,immediately after she's stopped using it๐Ÿ™

On day 2 I found poo on the carpet of the bedroom, which I promptly cleaned and then moved the litter up there. Since then she hasn't been using the litter and I've been driving myself crazy trying to figutr out where she's been pooping.

One day she pooed in the corner of the kids' bedroom, and I've sorted that and put the litter box there. Now I've found out she's been weeing behind the stove/fireplace and pooing beneath the kitchen cabinets๐Ÿ˜ญ

Shes not had all her vaccinations so don't want to let her out until she's fully comfortable with it and a bit older but I let her venture in the garden when I'm around to supervise. A couple times she weed in the corner of the garden (just outside the kitchen door) by the fence which is a good start.

So I am here for a couple bits of advice : how do I encourage her to use the litter? I have done the usual tricks, taking her to the litter box after her meals or when she cues or looks like she needs a poo, moving her litter box to near where it's likely she'll go, and taking the flap then the lid off the litter. (I've since covered it back as I think she prefers a hidden, private place)

Second, how the eff do I clean the area under the plinth and behind the wood burning stove? I'm dreading it, both not super easy to reach and don't get cleaned at all, ever ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

How old is the kitten? She might not like her litter. Get an extra box with a different kind of litter. Cats also do this if stressed/ill. She might be a little stressed.

She's not doing this because she isn't litter trained. She knows where she should be going but something is keeping her from doing it.

Also, where did you put her litter box? She needs to feel undisturbed and able to escape.

That is is what we thought too, so we have purchased a different brand of litter which will hopefully work. That plus confining kitty to the ground floor hope that works๐Ÿคž

We tried a couple of spots, the wall in the dining room and just by the living room for and the conservatory, we also moved a second litterbox upstairs but I'll move them both downstairs and keep the position fixed until she gets the hang of it

Okay. Just make sure she can go undisturbed, especially from the kids. So not somewhere where people walk past all the time. But also where she can oversee her immediate surroundings and make a quick exit if uncomfortable.

Please dont let her outside until she's neutered, kittens can come into season as young as 4 months old. As others have said, confine her to 1 room, and a different type of litter are a good start. Can she easily get in and out of the litter tray if she's a small kitten? You don't usually have to train cats to use a litter tray, though if they're very young they may not be able to make it to the tray in time. Hopefully she's just a bit unsettled with the move and business as usual will resume soon.

Thanks for the recommendations. She has no issues getting in the tray but just refuses to go in it (though as I said she did seem to go there fine on day 1). I have followed all the recommendations and I've put her confined in a room with 2 liter boxes with 2 different brands of litter so desperately hoping that this works. I'll report back tomorrow on how things went...
