You probably know this but be careful if you find a cat

I found a pedigree, very friendly, popped it on Facebook

Then the owner contacted me on Facebook- wiyh photos of the cat, the back of my jouse and I met her wandering the streets looking for her baby

Returned safely

A couple of hours later there was a post on the same fb pages with a photo of the cat breed saying my baby is lost - I did a reverse search on the photo as I was fairly certain id returned my little one to her mummy and it was a stock photo

How awful! I could have fallen for it

Oh Katy

im sorry you had that experience. It's good to warn people!!

Our 'Nextdoor' is full FULL of missing cats & 'found' cats. It's been quite the education over the past couple of years!

But spreading things like this helps to stop the scummy bastards 🌷

YABVVU for using the words 'little one', 'baby' and 'Mummy'. It's a cat FGS.

Oh jog on, honestly.

Why would somebody try and scam somebody out a cat?

That seems very strange and unlikely to me.

Rescue centres are full of cats, even pedigrees.

There’s really no need for people to put up fake facebook posts in order to scam someone out of a cat.

Because they sell them on for hundreds of pounds, breed them and pedigree cats sell for thousands.
